Dreams Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa - All Inclusive Guest Reviews
I used to love this hotel, my family and I have been before. This time it seemed the food was lacking, I understand that because they cook for so many it will lack some flavor, but it used to be better as if they dont care cause they have their 4 diamonds now. I was also a little put off by the "reservation system" for the christmas eve dinner. It was supposed to be first come first serve to the nice out door buffet (food was much better that night) But the reservation was basically you had to buy a bottle of wine to get seated first (its all inclusive, I shouldnt have to buy more, esp if I dont drink wine) ANd I went to rock climb one day and they shut it down 45 minutes early! The guide took down the ropes as we were walking up. And lastly I got hives from the unclean state of the chairs by the beach. THE GOOD: The staff is mostly friendly, the room is super comfy and the view is great, going shopping downtown is funn and affordable.

We are repeat stayers at Dreams. The staff is so nice it's like coming home to family. The weather is perfect every year.

This was our second trip to this hotel. Staff and hotel are wounderful, it's not as big as others we have stayed at, their are two towers,Tower one rooms are pretty basic, very clean, the staff is wounderful. Tower two, rooms are very updated, and free internet. The people are just fantastic. will be going back next year for two more weeks.

We had such an amazing time last year that we decided to come back to Dreams. Some of the reasons we like it is because of the private beach, ocean view rooms, activities, entertainment, AMAZING food, friendly staff, and cleanliness. It was also nice to see about 10 or so other gay couples (both men and women), which made us feel more comfortable than last year when there were only one or two others. This is a great hotel if you are looking to relax and unwind instead of party. The private beach is worth the extra distance. We went into the city this year and the public beaches where all the other hotels were seemed really trashy, literally. People packed in like sardines, garbage everywhere, peddlers galore. Having a private beach without all the rifraff, along with really nice bathrooms close by made all the difference. The only drawbacks we found were as follows: something new they have this year is that you are greated by staff members to get your facility "coupons." They sit you down at a "VIP" desk and then continue to go on a sales pitch. We ran into several other reps during our stay that were really annoying--we thought we could ask them a simple question, but they always went into their sales pitch. Another drawback was the cost of the spa. We got massages last year and don't remember having to pay that much. $135 for a 50 minute massage (of course they give you a $40 coupon, but still). The quality was not any better than what i've received for the standard rates. Lastly, the tequila tasting was great; however, they pitched their top shelf bottle to be on sale for $30--that "it sells for $200 in the U.S." NOT--sells for the same cost in the states. I can see us falling for that in town, but I did not expect to be mislead on the hotel's property where everything is monitored so closely for the visitors. Amazing place, amazing value, and friendly staff, but several things left a bad taste in our mouth so we will probably try somewhere new next year outside of Mexico.
