Downtown Value Inn Portland Guest Reviews
The hotel desk staff were very nice and helpful throughout our stay. The floors didn't look to have been vacuumed for the entire stay. Our beds were never made and the extent of any room support was that towels were changed daily with occasional soap and shampoo packets. One morning we woke around 6 am and were going to leave for coffee. the main door from the rooms into the lobby was locked, raising questions about safety if there was a fire. While the location and price were GREAT everything else (other than the nice desk staff) was terrible. While we may be back to Portland in the future, in spite of the low cost we will NOT be staying at the Downtown Value Inn Portland.

From the outside and reception I was thinking of going somewhere else. The outside was not appealing and the reception in need of considerable work. I agreed to look at the room and was pleasently supprised. Clean and well appointed. So if you ignore the intitial impression the rooms are good, security a bit loose but the location is great
