Doubletree by Hilton Metropolitan New York
4 out of 5

In the city on business but also to catch up with friends. Hotel location is fantastic for both. Great neighborhood and the subway is literally 10 steps away from hotel entrance. Restaurants, coffee shops, and stores a plenty. Hotel is clean, well staffed by friendly and helpful people. Good clean rooms with more space then one would expect in central Manhattan. At night the area has a neighborhood feel and quietens down. No sirens and car horns to be heard! Recommend to business travelers but also good for families.

Terrible stay. Pay more and find an other hotel. This is not up to par with the Hilton name. They rip you off and lie. Could have been a great hotel.

This hotel was in a great location for visiting all the Midtown sights, but really nothing special about the hotel. Rooms were small and a bit dated. But you have to love the free cookie on check-in! If you can get it for a good rate, it isn't a bad choice.

the hotel has a great position. A metro st. is just outside the hotel entrance and the Grand Central Station is just few minuts far. Room is punctually cleaned and restored every day. Nice and clean location.

Great location to midtown and right by Lexington Ave subway stop. Rooms a little tired on the furniture but comfortable. Nice takeout coffee shop next to the hotel. Have to pay for wi fi.

This hotel is very average and high priced. How it ever got its four star rating baffles me.

The location is great, and the water pressure was good in the shower, but otherwise, give this hotel a pass. The room was small and it was LOUD. In the early morning it sounded as if people in the hall were coming into our room.

I like the hotel. It's the second time we stayed there and there is no surprises. Awesome shower. Very clean. Decent room size. I would recommend to a friend. What I don't like is that there is no free wireless and the business center only has 5 computers and it is always full with people. Also there is no refrigerator in the room.

The hotel is in a good location, close to a metro station. The front disk staff was abrupt and provided little help.

We had a great time here! The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was faulous! No coffee maker in the room though. So we went right next door to the Deli and got coffee to bring up to our room. Nice cozy lounge for drinks. This hotel is close to EVERYTHING!!! We only walked a few blocks to Rockerfeller Center and Radio city Music Hall. We stayed over Thanksgiving and it was a very short walk to where we viewed the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!!! We had a lovely couples 2 day stay. If you are like my husband and enjoy a nice hot shower with good water pressure and a great shower head, this bathroom is for you!!! Wonderful experience!!!

This was the first time we wondered if we had been "penalized" for using a discount advance booking company. Our hotel room was smaller than other rooms on our same floor, paint and wallpaper peeling from walls, smells from the hotel kitchen below emanating up into our room. Staff were professional, room service punctual, and lobby beautifully maintained. Free wireless in lobby problematic, everyone in lobby one day unable to access Internet. We will probably look for somewhere else to stay for our next NYC visit....

The hotel is in a perfec location. I walked everyday to Central Park, to 5th Ave, museums and shops! The only thing that stopped me to spend more time in this hotel in NY was my limited budget :(

Ideally located on Lexington Ave at Metro station and within a 5-10 minute walk from most places you would want to visit. Friendly, helpful staff with free internet access in lobby and comfortable large rooms.

Terrific value at a very convenient midtown east location. Room was comfortable. Public areas a bit tired. Looks like an upgrade is in the works — samples were posted in the lobby.
