Nice hotel, friendly staff, convenient to highway.

This hotel is pretty pricey for what it is. Very clean rooms, polite staff but still a 15 minute walk to the beach. Also $28 per night for valet - a cost which should be part of the room. Complimentary welcome cookie was a surprising touch but I'd rather give up the cookie and get free parking. Overall, fairly pricey for not a whole lot more.

We spent 4 nights here pre-cruise and found it to be an excellent location, within walking distance of downtown Santa Monica and the pier. Having the extra space of a separate lounge was great. We had a top flour suite at the rear of the building and it was very quiet, with views to Beverly Hills and Hollywood. The coffee shop food was okay, with large servings. My only complaint is the poor tea/coffee making facilities in the room. A good old fashioned kettle would have been great! We would certainly stay here again.

I found the hotel to be excellent. It was in a good location just 5 minutes from the Santa Monica Pier. The hotel was a good, clean had excellent facilities. Would definately go back there again.
