Doubletree Golf Resort San Diego Guest Reviews
We booked a partial golf course view. There was a very large tree right in front of the balcony & window. I called the front desk and the clerk stated the tree hadn't been trimmed in a few months but we where in a partial view room. Make no mistake even with trimming there was no way you could see even a small glimpse of the golf course. This room hasn't seen the golf course in years! Very disappointing since this was the three year in a row we have stayed there and we are hilton honors members.

friendly staff, quick check in, nice clean room and grounds, quiet, great experience for a North San Diego location.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. I was disappointed that a suburban hotel would charge for parking. I requested a microwave which was also charged to my room.

Doubletree was like the Doublemint of hotels, satisfactions that lasts and lasts. The location was north of downtown, less busy, and a golf resort. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the concierge and given two warmed, tasty, chocolate chip cookies. The room was spacious. Great to relax in, beyond simply using it for sleep. Electrical outlets abounded if you should need to charge anything. Access to beaches both near the city and north were within a 25-minute drive. Your schedule will not run dry with the amount of recreational activities. Beautiful Coronado island, where "Some Like it Hot" was filmed, can be accessed via driving over a massive bridge, or ferry. The only factor that would have improved the 4-star rating to five would have been having a continental breakfast included, and if it was a shade closer to downtown. If you want something in-house from the hotel as far as food or room service, you'll pay. But, this is quite a similar trait for hotel room service across the board. And, if a few extra miles won't deter you from nice everything else, this is the place for you! Very friendly, helpful staff.

This was our nicest hotel experience yet. It is very quiet and serene, although right off the freeway. It was great to come to such a nice hotel after a long day of fun in SD. We are very impressed with the details like 5 down pillows, down comforter that is sandwiched between crisp sheets, and so much more. We rarely want to stay at a hotel again, but this one, we cannot wait until our next chance!
