DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Manchester - Piccadilly
4 out of 5

This is a great hotel for exploring Manchester. It is located right beside Picadilly station and only minutes away from the shops. The rooms were big and bright, the only let down was that the bed was uncomfortable and I didn't get much sleep. My partner and I probably had the best hotel breakfast we have ever had at the hotel - the range of foods on offer was vast and the quality of food and cooking was second to none.

super - I would come back. The breakfast room was a little overcrowded - had to queue up. And no capuchino was served on demand - "machine broken..." - what ever.

Excellently located hotel - 30 seconds' walk from PIccadilly ststaion and I was in the door, and checking in. The room was well serviced, although the walls needed a lick of paint. The iMac media centre was useful and easy to use. The wifi signal was slightly weak, and so my laptop struggled with some web surfing, but got there in the end. Pretty good, averagely priced food, and the staff were helpful in securely storing my luggage throughout the day of my checkout - but the location is the main raw for this hotel.

Hotel had recently changed its name without letting us know, therefore we walked past a couple of time looking for it (booked as City Inn). Would have been nice to have received an email before our stay to confirm the new name. Other than that, hotel was lovely and very good location, only a few minutes from the train station and within walking distance to the centre of Manchester. Would stay there again (now we know what it is called!)

Very nice hotel, comfortable rooms, quiet, good continental breakfast included in price. Next to rail station. Directions by road not easiest to follow. Would definately use it again.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed in this hotlel for a weekend break recently. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, they allowed us to check in at 12pm (normal check in time 3pm) andwhen checking out they allowed us to leave our bags for as long as we wanted. The location is excellent, right in the city centre. It is across the road from Picadilly train station and a 2 minute walk to all the shops. I would definitely recommend this hotel anyone looking for a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

My room was of a good standard, however there was an old patch of chewing gum on the carpet. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Reveived a free glass of wine with dinner from booking through xxxxx. Service staff polite and friendly. Hotel ideally loacted for Picadilly Station.

Double Room was fairly spacious, nice shower room (no bath), good hot shower, dressing table by window very good, new furniture, free tea and coffee facility great. Like most hotels, lighting poor, this appears to be normal these days, you have to use the bathroom mirror to see yourself properly!! All in all a pleasant stay, just off Piccadilly, would use this hotel again.

Our one night stay was the second time we used this hotel. We came back because we were so impressed the first time. The staff are very courteous and friendly and the room was modern and comfortable. The hotel bar has quite a nice atmosphere so it was the perfect start to our evening when we had a cocktail there. The central location meant it was an easy walk to our restaurant. The following morning we went down to breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed a full english and felt that nothing was too much trouble for the waiting staff. We will definitely be back again when next in Manchester.
