DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel London - Westminster

I've rated my stay as average as I only had an average stay. There is no doubt that if you get a good size room and the sky lounge is accessible, your stay will be more than average. The location is very good with a good few small shops, restaurants and pubs nearby. The price of breakfast is so expensive, £21 for full english, £16 for continental. There are a few places you can get a cheaper breakfast. My favorite was on the corner of Gray Coates Street, £3.95 for a platter of full english.

The location of the hotel was great it was close to things but not in a busy area. The staff was very helpful and the environment was always clean. Having computers in the room was very helpful. The bathrooms were small but had good water pressure. Our only complaint was about the beds the mattresses good of been better but we definitely would recommend this hotel.

The hotel is located in a quite area better suited for business rather than tourist travel. We took the bus which was a short walk. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was a bit pricey. The rooms were a fair size, nicely decorated and very clean. We enjoyed our stay.

While I liked the Mint Hotel and appreciated its attentive staff, the room and amenities seemed average. The room was very clean and the Apple was fun, although I would've rather had a larger television. The location itself is convenient, as it's close to Westminster Abbey and Big Ben.

The location is just outstanding for a tourist or even if you're doing business in central London/the City. John Islip is a quiet street but you're an easy (assuming you enjoy walking, and this is London after all) walk from Westminster, Pimlico, and St. John's Woods stations. It's a huge relief to be away from the chaos surrounding the Houses of Parliament. The hotel itself is well staffed and modern. There's some wear and tear around the edges but overall it's clean and the rooms are compact but not cramped. The shower temperature was prone to jumping around though, from warm to cool to hot, so if you have kids, test the shower yourself first to avoid a scene. All in all it's what I want in a hotel, and I'll return.

The room was very good, the hotel is in a very good location on a low traffic street. We liked the convenience of having the iMac in the room as well as the very helpful staff who continued to help us with shipping a package long after we had finished our stay.

Really nice hotel. Was in a good location in London but quite a bit out if you're there to shop. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would reccommend this hotel.

Believe all of the great reviews about this hotel - everything about it is fantastic. 15 min walk from wesminster abbey and the london eye (at a staedy pace!!) Close enough to everything but not next to the hustle and bustle - very quiet at night. The food and drinks are a little pricey but this was expected at a 4* hotel. We will definately be staying there again. The staff were more than helpful and were very professional and polite. The bed in our room was the comfiest bed I have ever slept in - I seriously contemplated not going on the London eye just so I could stay in it for longer! Everything you need is in your room- even an ironing board and iron!! If you don't/didn't like staying at this hotel - there is somthing wrong with you!!!

Very much a business man's hotel and as such is very cold and unfriendly. Would not stay there again as too far from underground.

Good room. Hotel in good location for visiting central London. We were only offered a room only rate and then found on arrival at the hotel the price of breakfasts was excessive so we had to make alternative arrangements for breakfast which then took up most of the morning to arrange which reduced the time we had in London each day to visit places we had planned. We also were given a leaflet which offered a weekend stay in the hotel at less than we had paid and the offer included breakfast so we felt we had received poor value for money during our visit.

We could not fault this hotel. Everything was very helpful. We don't usually eat evening meals at a hotel but we did time and it very good and reasonably priced. This hotel certainly helped to make our stay in London very enjoyable.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, allowing us to check out at 2pm for no extra charge. They also paid for a taxi for us when the price they predicted it would be was wrong. Very professional and speedy service. There are great on street parking availability which was free too. The room was contemporary and very clean as was the bathroom. Great tv facilities which you normally have to pay for in other hotels but here it was free. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be going again very soon.
