Stayed here as attending a conference nearby. hotel is in a convenient location and of the expected standard, However the room could do with a bit of money spending on it as the carpets were stained and the tiles were falling off the side of the bath. They also only left one towel in the room although there were two of us staying there. The staff were friendly enough and the reception and bar were fine.

I was very disappointed that the hotel could not sort out the problem with the air conditioning. We arrived on Saturday 21 July 2012 and the room (405) was unbearably hot. The A/C did not work and was reported to staff. They could not move us and could not get maintenance to fix the problem. In fairness they offered to move room the next day if I saw the manager in the morning. However, as we were out early that morning we did noe see him and no note was left for us to contact staff. The room was so hot that we bought a desk fan to alleviate the problem. The problem was still not fixed when we checked out on Tuesday 24 July 2012. We have stayed at this hotel before and had no problems and will be visiting Bristol on many occasions in the future. I'm not sure where we will stay when go the next time.

Bedside tAbles were not cleaned as I could see the glass rim marks on them for several days, shower gel was not replaced and I had to call to have this done. Finally there was a terrible smell from the toilet that I did not notice until one closes the room window. On the plus side, the ac was OK, and the room was generally clean

There was a very bad smell coming out from on-suit/toilet from sump/exhaust. Complained about it and was provided with air freshner.

The location is perfect within a couple of hundred meters from the station and a short walk from the city center. Internet was only free in the lobby as using it in the room cost extra.

excellant position in central Bristol walking distance to shopping centre and more. If you wanted to visit Bath this is the place to stay if you have a car. Comfortable bed, good linen, swimming pool and small gym. I would probably rate this as 33/4 stars only for the average cleanliness.

1st room I checked into lamp didn't work so I was moved to another room, 2nd room just about to go to sleep and the lampshade fell off! Would suggest that an upgrade of their fittings would be in order, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the positioning of the hotel was excellent close to both the train station and "the Mall" which was a great shopping centre, closest that I have come to an "Aussie" westfield type centre. Overall room and bathroom were clean just if fittings moved ( i.e when getting 2nd lamp fixed with a roll of sticky tape!) then lolly wrappers were found. Bed was extremely comfortable and room nice and quiet, access to fresh milk would have improved my stay rather than uht milk as a 4 star would have felt that was something that could be done, a tad picky, maybe, on my part , but would definately recommend staying here maps freely available to assist you to find attractions etc and staff very willing to point them out and generally help in any way they could.

The motel is a little hard to find but this is mainly due to the one way streets in Bristol. The motel is a little tired but only slightly. Beds are great. Staff are good. Car Parking is 5 pounds for a 24 hour period (not daily). Very close to Bristol Temple Meads train station. Overall good experience.

Ideally situated within the city centre and just a short walk to the waterfront area. the staff were very helpful and comprehensive maps to the city centre were freely available. The room was of a good size, clean, quiet and stylishly decorated. The breakfast was fairly pricey so we declined this and ate at at one of the waterfront cafes. We used the pool, which was smallish but clean, and we had it to ourselves. The pool was accessed through the gym, which appeared crammed into a corridor-like room. Overall we enjoyed our stay here, have no complaints and would use the hotel again.

Ideal location for railway station, shortish walk into town. Paid extra for buffet breakfast, which was expensive for a cooked breakfast. Staff friendly and helpfull. Had evening meal which was well presented, tasty and better than many hotel restaurant meals.

Very smokey in main reception area as open plan bar right next to it, there was a wedding reception on and the air was visibly hazey with smoke. Leisure club facilities poorly laid out -sauna and steam room at one end of the gym and pool at the other end. Gym very hot ,humid due to this with no ventilation.
