Thought this would be a great getaway. Have attended events at the hotel before but never stayed there. The room was okay but Nothing was included. No internet. I even had to pay for parking. I guess you could say the only free thing there was the cookie they give to you when you check in. Also the tv had like 10 channels on it wich stunk late at night when i woke up freezing turned the heat up and felt nothing. Also i was looking forward to the beautiful bathroom and pool as shown in the photos. I did not get the nice bathroom and the pool was closed for maintenence during my stay. Im dissatisfied with the hotel overall it looks nice in photos but getting there was painful. The entrance is not clearly marked and if I hadnt been there before I would have missed it. Also I paid for a room that in the description of that room said it would be located on a high floor. I was on the fourth floor. It was not high and the view was not that great. Overall I would not reccomend this hotel. I was dissatisfied and it left much to be desired.

made our reservation two days prior and received great room with early check in at 11am. Hotel really busy but staff cordial, warm cookie upon arrival, room very quiet, beds firm, great towels, two TVs and spectacular view of the Charles River. Didn't eat at the lounge or cafe- too much to experience within walking distance. Free shuttle to downtown. Only improvement needed is an airport shuttle.

I really like this hotel, our room was really clean and comfortable with a great view of the river and the city. It was a little out of the way but it was just a 15 minute cab ride away from most places which isn't too bad. Fresh baked cookies were delicious. The food that we had for lunch was ok. Would definitly return to this hotel in the future.

I love this hotel! It has been our favorite while visiting our son at Harvard. Great location....the view of the Charles River is perfect and walking along the Charles on the way to Harvard Square is gorgeous....even in the misty rain like this weekend! Most comfortable bed ever!!!!! Got a GREAT night's sleep! Cheryl at the front desk is one friendly, sweet lady. Very satisfied! Did not need a car to get around Boston. The T is fun!

The Hotel experience was overall very nice. The food I had was good, the service was good, and the front desk was very helpful. However, the location is a little out of the way and not near public transportation. It was also a little pricey but overall a good experience.

I was visiting Harvard Business School during that period, and Doubletree was just one block away from HBS. The room is clean and comfortable, and has a nice view of Charles River. The hotel also provides free shuttle service to downtown area if the guest doesn't need car parking. I'd like to recommend this hotel to my friends if they will visit the same area.

We will definitely stay at this hotel again when we're in Boston! We were there to see the Red Sox beat up on the Yankees and there was no better place to rest after such an eventful day. Although pricey, they offer really good food in their restaurants so you don't have to drive around looking for somewhere to eat. The front desk staff was very helpful and we left our car parked at the hotel as the subway was only a 10 minute walk and it takes you anywhere you need to go. The only downfall is that the hotel charges an inordinate fee for parking each day. Omit that fact and you have a perfect oasis.

The hotel was nice, nothing too fancy but all amenities were perfect. It was in a good location along the Charles river for exercising and walking distance from Harvard.

I was in Boston on vacation, my first trip there. I had in mind a few things I wanted to do and see while there, so wasn't sure if i should rent a car or use public transportation, glad i didn't rent a car. The hotels shuttle service to about 6 key areas in Boston was perfect and it ran on an efficient schedule. The staff was very helpful with the many questions I had. The dinning in the hotel was great, as was the bar. The only thing that stops me from giving the hotel 5 stars was the jazz club was closed for the month of July. The view of the river in morning was a welcoming site!

Front desk were professional and accommodating. They did not hesitate to accommodate our need for double bed instead of King sized bed. They were knowledgeable and well informed on transportation and the hot spots around town. Very friendly staff

It is out of town a bit but they run a free shuttle bus every day to and out of town, so it works really well.

Generally the hotel was fine, but inconvenient location. Unless you have a car, you have to rely on the courtesy bus or taxis as not close to metro/shops. However they were most obliging with 4 stops around Boston for pick ups/drop offs. Probably easier in summer when waiting for the bus not so cold. Interesting jazz club based in the hotel.

Boston is a very expensive place to stay but is worth a visit. The Dobuletree Guest Suites were beautiful and we had a marvellous view of the river. The room was fantastic but the location was much further out than we anticipated. With great directions from the hotel staff we were able to find our way to the subway and easily arrived in a position to be able to walk to the freedom trail. Unfortunately miscommunication about where to meet the courtesy bus for a ride back to the hotel saw us waiting around in the freezing cold for over an hour. We finally decided to take a cab when there was still no sign of the bus. This incident was a bit off-putting after what had been a great day.
