DoubleTree By Hilton Hotel Boston - Downtown
4 out of 5

The hotel location was right in the middle of all conveniences. The bus and train were a step away from the hotel. There was no free internet connection in the room, but they had a business center where 4 computers were available for guest use and it was very convenient. No free continental breakfast was offered. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and there was a small coffee machine and refrigerator in the room. No safe in the room. Overall,I would go back to this hotel and I would recommend it highly. Oh, there's a Starbuck's coffee shop in the lobby for you Starbuck lover, but it's not open past 5:30p on weekdays:(

Great location to T, hotel was perfect location downtown yet affordable. Made it easy to get all around the city for a quick weekend getaway to catch some Boston sports.

Parking a little expensive, but the room was comfortable. Food was good, but they don't tell you there is an 18% gratuity added to roomservice unless you read the booklet first.

The staff was extremely helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. The Hynes Convention Center was not as close as advertised (I thought we could walk, but not easily or quickly) and a cab cost between 9 and 11 dollars each way. The T was very convenient to this property and we utilized it often during our stay. Overall A.

Our stay was a spur of the moment decision, It was one of the less pricier places we were able to find in the area, being that it was a holiday weekend. I was pleased that the rate on NYE wasnt outrageous. My only complaint is the $40 a night parking fee .. which you pretty much have to pay being that the meters have limits. Also, when we were ready to check out I called downstairs to see if I could get a cart so I could bring down all the luggage. The lady at the desk told me they were too busy and that I would just have to make a few trips to carry it all down. First time Ive ever heard that before... All in all it was a decent experience.

Convenient location right next to the orange line and a block from the green line. Great staff, and conveniently connect to the YMCA. Just wish the room was a little bigger.

The hotel was conventiantly located with transit right out the door. The staff was courteous, helpful and extremely professional. The rooms were beautiful, and exceptionally clean. I found it great that the hotel had a resteraunt, a starbucks in the lower lobby and was located directly near stores and dining. The hotel even made a reservation for us to the resteraunt of our choice. I have been to several hotels where I ended up forgetting my toothbrush, shaving cream and razor and had to pay for them at the hotel, but not at this one one they were complimentary. The chocolate chip cookies at check in were a wonderful touch. We had an exemplery experience.

The hotel was in a great spot. We were able to jump on the orange line or green line to get where ever we needed to go. The room was also huge!

So convenient!! Literally just steps to the subway stop, and only minutes to walk the few blocks to Boston Common. We continued walking through the Public Garden, up Newberry Street and into Copley Plaza. Had lunch and explored the Trinity Church then went two clocks over to the Prudential and took in the SkyWalk and hopped on the Duck Tour. At the end of a long, hot, and fabulous day we got a cab for $8 back to the hotel. Cool to have Chinatown and the theater district outside our door. We walked around the corner Thursday to have a great dinner at the legendary Jabob Wirth's --- complete with early evening entertainment. The Doubletree staff were the best. Never met a friendlier, more efficient front desk crew. The concierge worked around our tight schedule and booked all our activities in a flash. The delicious and ample breakfast was so professionally served---Hats off to Juan, Shao, and all. The Doubletree satisfied all our travel needs and left a great impression on us all.

We stayed in Boston for one night and found ourselves nicely in the middle of town. It was an easy walk to the T line and everything from there was quick. The buffet breakfast was a nice surprise.

The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff was more than delightful and accommodating. Unknown to us, upon letting the front desk know it was my husband and I's wedding trip we were sent a complimentary bottle of wine and cheese tray on our first night. We were both really impressed with overall quality and the concierge helpfully recommended an amazing restaurant at the top of Boston (Top of the Hub), to eat at after our marriage. Overall great experience and we would definitely stay there again. Robert Bundrick, M.H.R., L.P.C.
