DoubleTree By Hilton Hotel Atlanta North Druid Hills Emory Area Guest Reviews
Will NOT use Double Tree Hotels again. Service is almost non-existent, and when it's there, it's incompetent. For three mornings worth of coffee, I asked for 4 cups, 4 creams, and 4 sugars. I got 4 cups, 6 lids, 8 creams and no sugar. Duplicated my reservation, twice in two nights failed to program my key card correctly, so I get back from being in class all day & I have to make two trips up and down, "hi-speed" internet is incredibly slow and connection is spotty, even with an Ethernet cable! And the facility is wholly unimpressive. Very plain, clean, but very ordinary.

[...] I had the opportunity to stay at the hotel where my conference was happening, but I couldn't switch. Always keep that in mind. Pricewise, it was comparable, but switching would have saved some walking.

We had a very average but pleasant experience at this DoubleTree. Front desk service was helpful, the room was neat, clean, tastefully decorated, but otherwise unremarkable. We booked this hotel because of its price and location and got exactly what we expected.

Stayed here while passing through on our way to Orlando from Wisconsin. We paid roughly $75 for the night, queen bed, standard room. The room was clean and spacious. The only complaint that we really had was the elevators took FOREVER, waited probably an average of 3-5 minutes to come to our floor. Minor complaint from the misses - water wasn't hot enough. Overall, decent for the money.

I was in Atlanta for my sister's wedding. Good: The hotel is located in a calm neighborhood in NE ATL just off of I-85 minutes away from downtown. Parking is free, compared to the $20+ dollars my parents had to pay at a hotel downtown. During our stay, the room was upgraded with flat screen televisions.Bad: The hotel should consider renovating the elevators, which are extremely slow. My toilet got stopped up twice, which leads me to believe there may be a problem with the plumbing. The work out facility was average. I hit my head on the ceiling, while using the stair stepper. Ugly: One of the hotel managers was "extremely" unprofessional. He refused to provide information about room availability when I called days ahead to upgrade my room ([...]). He told me that I would have to wait until the day of check in to find out room availability. He even went so far as to note in the computer reservation system "no changes". Despite the manager's poor attitude, the staff was very accomodating. Thankfully, his staff understood the meaning of service recovery.Despite some minor issues, the good outweighed the bad. I would recommend this hotel for those who are vacationing on a budget or short business trips. It is a solid 3 star hotel. It offers great value for the price and is located in a convenient location.
