Great character hotel and highly recommended for those seeking a true Beijing experience. At first appearance it may seem a little “rustic” but the level of service is excellent even if the level of facilities does not match an internationally branded hotel chain. However, it at least has some soul and you will certainly remember you visit to the hotel and to Beijing all the more for staying here.

Very clean, beautiful and full of character courtyard with a lot of history behind it..Receptionists were execellent and helpful. Highly recommended for those who wants a change.

An excellent Hotel ideally situated close to the Metro in Beijing ( Dongse Station # 5 line). Full of character with very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are good size and beds very comfortable. Typical Hutong style and for something a bit different, this is the place.

Wonderful place, very well situated and very friendly staff. Room smaller than we anticipated when booking 'Queen Bed Room'. Bed not even really a double. Breakfast excellent but would recommend avoiding the hotel restaurant beyond breakfast unless you like microwaved food. Wonderful place, best hotel we stayed in in China (and we lived there for 8 months).
