You really need a car for the location, the private bathroom was across the hall, the place for breakfast isn't open everyday and doesn't open until after 7am (since Lucca is about a 2 hour train ride to Florence, 7am was too late for us).

Terrible basic breakfast in cafe across road..served by unpleasant cafe owner. Front rooms arevery noisy from adjacent very busy road.
