Dolphin House London Guest Reviews
Dolphin House lived up to expectations. Very good situation only 3 tube stations from Oxford Circus (10 minutes) and 5 minute walk - quiet, relaxing hotel and surroundings, good welcome, excellent facilities, huge suite for very good price. I have stayed here several times. Highly recommended for short or longer stays in London.

Overall we were pleased with the location and the apartment was fine but there were some things which annoyed us. We booked and paid in October but the hotel staff could not confirm that we had an apartment with a full kitchen with full oven (this was necessary for us). Phone calls and 2 personal visits did not help and when we arrived we had been allocated a kitchen with a microwave. The staff on duty found us another apartment but the carpet had marks on it and the bath panel had a hole in it. There were instructions for the electrical appliances in the kitchen - including the toaster, but no instructions for the TVs - the one in the bedroom needed 2 remotes but only 1 was provided so it would not work. Too many amenites (pool, spa, dining room, bar) were closed over the Christmas weekend - not obvious when we booked. The front desk staff and cleaners would have scored 'that's good stuff' but the back room boys let them down.

We stayed for a week. Close by Pimlico station, walking distance to river and Westminister attractions like the Big Ben. The Standard double room was a good size and layout with separate kitchen and bathroom. The washing machine was great having it in the room . Gym and Pool facilities were great. Breakfast was a good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

Terrible service!!! The hotel was super cheap in terms of providing service, but charged like a 4 star hotel. Very basic things that come standard in most hotels like breakfast, internet access, local phone calls, were charged! On top of that, they don't refill anything. The soap they give you is all you get for the ENTIRE stay. Even if you finished a bottle, they won't refill...they might though but you might get slammed with a service fee. They wash the 2 towels you get every 3 days only; and they don't even feel nice. The towels were rough and get sticky when wet. The door to the room was also faulty. We only realized this the second day we were there only by chance. We pushed the door after we closed it from the outside and it opened to our surprise. The door doesn't lock properly! Every time we left the room, we had to open and close the door like 10 times until it locks...and this is NOT an exaggeration. One time I got so upset that I slammed the door so hard for it to finally lock. And to top it all off, I felt like they treated us like criminals right when we entered. During check in, they not only asked for my passport, but they also wanted to look at my fiance's passport. Then they asked me to put a $200 deposit should we decide to use any of their "wonderful" services like if we wanted breakfast or use internet in our room--um, which should be free. This was the single most expensive place I stayed in, and the cheapest too!

My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights. The location is good, only a few minutes from Pimlico tube station and walking distance to many attractions. Nice restaurants and shops in the area. Lovely gardens on site. Tha apartment was comfortable and the wee kitchen ideal, there was even a pint of milk i the fridge. The pool and spa were lovely. Staff pleasant and helpful. I cannot comment on the restuarant as we ate our meals out and had breakfast in the apartment. We loved this place and will stay here again!
