Dolomiti Hotel Venice
4 out of 5

The hotel is ideally placed on the main island of Venice, only a few meters from the train station. The staff were quite friendly and helpful. The room was adequate and what is to be expected from a 2-star hotel. The major drawback was lack of air-conditioning in the room, which was definitely needed in the high summer Venice heat.

The hotel is amazing - clean rooms, good amenities. However just a fair warning - there are no lifts in the hotel - so its tough if you have luggage to log all the way up the 3rd floor or 4th floor. but it seems to be worthwhile. Hotel Staff left a little to be desired. I came from a long journey around Europe and forgot to print out the voucher needed to be signed and he mocked me. I felt horrible after my first encounter with the staff - but the rest seemed to be going more smoothly than the first encounter. So, just watch out for those times.

The hotel is really nice and located near the train and bus stations, so when you come from the airport, it is very easy and fast to find it. What is more, I really liked the service of this hotel, all workers are very nice, speak in english and try to do the best for their customers. On the other side, I have one minuse - food for breakfast was all the time the same, but of course if you want to eat different food, this hotel is near many other restaurants and bars. In general - this hotel ir really very good for people, who do not want to spend a lot of money.

This hotel is one of the best deals in Venice. If you are planning on site seeing and only using the hotel to sleep, this is the place to book.

Excellent hotel for the price I paid. The front desk staff bent over backwards to help us. Location is good especially if you are coming in by train - no stairs between train station and hotel! Public (water) transport is nearby from which all parts of venice can be reached. Highly recommend this hotel.

The only downfall to this hotel is the absence of a lift to get heavy suitcases to upper floors. Other than that the staff and hotel were fantastic.

Good location with easy access to vaparetto stops. The proximity of the railway station did not cause a problem of noise etc. My room looked as if it had recently been refurbished. the staff were friendly and helpful. I would certainly use the hotel again.

Well located only steps from the main train station, and a comfortable walk into the main centre of town. The rooms were clean however there was no air conditioning or televisions in the rooms.

Staff was extremely helpful since we had an unexpected change in itinerary. They made telephone calls for us and checked train schedules. Location was great, near train station and all the boats. Can be noisy on the street side since they make deliveries in the early morning.

The location was especially good for us since it was close to both the train station and the Grand Canal. We planned a lot of trips out of the city so the proximity of the train staition was especially important for us. Arrival and departure were also very easy since the bus from the airport stopped just a short distance away. We found it a bit noisy, but only in the evening and early morning, and because we were placed on the second floor facing the street and could not change our room since groups were given priority, I presume to keep them together. We adjusted and were very pleased.

This hotel located in a prime area, very close to the St. Lucia Train Station. The staff were helpful and friendly in giving information. Unfortunately, this hotel didn't have any lift! We got room at the second floor, and I had to pull my 20kgs luggage through the stairs. If you're plan to stay at this hotel, make sure you bring only one small handybag so you wouldn't get hurt on your back and arms.

Excellent hotel brilliantly located about 200m from the main rail station and the ferry terminal. Our room was a bit of a climb from reception, which may not suit some people, but was fine for us. Very clean, decent sized bathroom, recommended!

Hotel is located right next to the Saint Lucia train station which makes it so convenient for us to carry our heavy baggages. It's also located with many eatery just around the corner. Many shopping can be done around the area too. The staff provide fantastic customer service and we are so impressed. They help you with all your queries and answer to their fullest knowledge. Indeed very helpful & friendly. The breakfast served is very simple but still acceptable. We have a spacious triple room that comes along with a big bathroom. I love the bathroom esp. Room is clean and modern. Only minus point for this hotel is that it doesnt has an elevator. Nevertheless, this has got to be one of the most pleasant hotels we have stayed in so far! The staff are simply worth praising for!

This is an excellent hotel. Ideally located near the station. The lady who runs it is the third generation owner and very helpful. Rooms are simple but very clean and tidy. LAck of a lift might be problem for some but adds to the quaintness! Ideal for all the sights.
