When we arrive, staff was not very helpfull. I had to ask for parking and I was informed there is a Wilson carpark at $20 per day. I almost paid $400 a night for a room and the I have to pay another $20 per night? Then another staff member informed me that using your room key, you can access the car park without any cost. I will not use that hotel again.

This was a pretty good hotel, but a couple of oddities. Hotel lobby and room are both very modern, with glass and steel furnishings and looks very smart. However, it is set up rather awkwardly, only one person seating for the TV, which is locked on a wall, won't swivel. The furnishings don't physically fit in very well, a little tight. Parking very convenient, staff were helpful and friendly, giving us tips on avoiding parking charges and gave us good directions around the city, and we liked the place overall. It could be a 5 star hotel with a few relatively minor changes.

Clean room only 2-5 mins walk to Courtney Place and all the nightlife (including St James Theatre). The room was setout for two people except there was only one amazingly uncomfortable huge single-seater chair in front of the TV in the lounge - where number two person was supposed to relax I don't know. No TV in the bedroom and very stainless steel look and feel. Room came with washer, dish washer and cooking facilities, bathroom adequate. We were glad we were only scheduled to stay 1 night.

One of the reasons we booked this hotel was the pool and gym facilities.... these were both really disappointing and we didn't use either.... The rooms were new and clean, but no laundry facilities at the hotel at all...also disappointing, located right in the heart of the city which was fantastic but not sound proof, we were awake most nights with street and other guests party noise etc

A well designed and furnished one bedroom apartment for less than the cost of a normal Wellington hotel room. I will stay here again.

The Century City is our favourite hotel for our occasional stopovers in Wellington. Check-in was quick and slick. The suite was smallish but very well equipped and comfortable. The price was right and the location convenient to everything. The room was warm upon our arrival, a nice touch. It would have been nicer had there been any alternative to the winter-weight quilt on the bed. Parking was plentiful and inexpensive in the attached independent private garage, although the hotel's own allocated spaces were full. Arrangements for parking and for accessing the hotel from the garage seem to be different every time we stay. The downtown Wellington Saturday night crowd were rather noisy; probably can't be helped if you want the convenience of the location, and not the hotel's fault.

For the price, you can't get any better...have paid twice what we did for way smaller and less well appointed rooms which didn't have a balcony...will stay again for sure! Studio room was huge by most hotel standards, and at $90-odd a night, can't complain at all!

We were allocated a small internal room but the front of house person upgraded us to a apartment type with all the mod cons. Great stuff

Check in was seamless. Room has a fridge, cooktop and sink. Great if staying in town a few nights. Handy to good restaurants and the centre of town. My only criticism of the hotel is you can heard the person walking about in the room above you in heels. Maybe I was unlucky, but it seemed very loud at 6:00am while trying to get some precious extra minutes of sleep. All in all, good value, very clean, nicely appointed. Would stay again.

Location was great, I arrived early and they got my room sorted very quickly. Facilities were very clean, bath was great size. Decor was very clean and discrete. Only downside was airflow, with balcony door open street noise was loud and no internal air conditioning, so room was very warm. That was a tiny blemish on a very enjoyable stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you.

The staff mad my stay very obliging particually the young woman at front of house Sat morning 09/10/10. Be really great if they had a cafe and bar. Oh and a more comprehensive compendium. But great stay thanks.

I stayed in a 2brm apartment and it was very modern, clean and adequately resourced with a kitchenette and washer/dryer and I love rooms that have balconies! The major let-down for this hotel was the staff. The service was not good at all and for that reason alone I would never pay full price to stay there. I will always look on budget booking websites if I ever wanted to stay there again. I think hotel management need to place more mature, customer service focussed staff at the desk.

A particularly well-equipped, comfortable, roomy suite in a convenient central location. Desk staff are pleasant and efficient. Regrettably this is the second time in a row that our sleep at this establishment has been disrupted by party or street noise.

An excellent price for a comfortable, particularly well-equipped, modern, tidy apartment in a convenient location. The only downside is the penetration of street noise - provided throughout the night apparently by patrons of nearby pubs.
