Distinction Nugget Point is a boutique property set in a spectacular location at the foot of the majestic Coronet Peak Ski field with views over the famous Shotover River, just a stone's throw away from Queenstown.
Rooms
All guestrooms are luxurious open-plan suites, each individually decorated by a local interior designer. The River View Suites enjoy dramatic vistas of the famous gold rich Shotover River, with the Remarkables, Sugar Loaf Hill and Cecil Peak towering on the skyline. The Garden View Suites overlook the tennis courts and surrounding gardens.
Restaurant
An intimate and tasteful ambience makes Birches Restaurant, an award winning restaurant. During winter enjoy a sumptuous meal in front of an open fireplace, and in summer relax on the balcony with a pre-dinner drink taking in the spectacular Shotover River views.

Very polite and helpful staff. Brilliant view from the restaurant. Comfortable atmosphere in the bar and restaurant area. We would have liked breakfast included into the offer and possibly the pool use as well because it was reasonable public and not exclusive.

It was more than we expected for the price. Felt quite distinguished in such a lovely hotel - the room was absolutely fabulous - and that is exactly what I mean - just beautiful. The food from the restaurant was also very good, a little slow, but great food. Would recommend anyone to stay there, as you were secluded from the road and very quite. Most impressed.

Peaceful location with stunning views over the Shotover River, this is a comfortable hotel approx 6kms from Queenstown itself. It is furnished in a style which some people might consider faux old fashioned and overly fussy, although others might appreciate the heavy, ornate furniture and other accoutrements. However, everything was extremely clean and comfortable if somewhat claustrophobic. The food was ok...... table service, though, was simply appalling and not at all what is expected in such a hotel.The food service staff desperately need some training!

Amazing best kept secret of Queenstown. Our River suite had views of the shotover river and awoke to the sun pouring into our room. The Spa and facilities are world class. Treatments we had were of an excellent standard. Would recommend to anyone wanting to get away from it all. Perfect

This is a great quiet boutique hotel with stunning views over Shotover river and jet boats very welcoming and attentive staff Only disappointment the spa isn't open yet Great gym and squash court and lets you get away from Queenstown's hubub only short drive from town.Will stay again
