Having had an extended stay (several weeks) at Discovery some time ago, we chose the hotel for our quick stopover (1 night). The facilities are all one could ask for, but it is really too far from the airport for a one nighter. Glad to see the hotel had maintained the high level of service since our last stay.

I've stayed at this hotel for at least fourth times and the services they provide are the same or even better!!! Love this place so much! Rooms are beautiful and the staffs are so great! I will always stay at Discovery suites whenever i'm in Manila the best hotel. Pricey but the experiences are superb! 5*****

We stayed at the hotel for 8 nights. We really enjoyed our stay there. The staff was friendly and location is good. Hotel was across the Podium and 5 minutes walk to Megamall. There's a wifi in our room. The breakfast is expensive.

The room I was in was a bit musty and looked in need of redecoration. Not all room facilities were available. Eg. No kettle yet there was tea and tea cups in room. TV remote was missing and telephone was not working initially. All was offset by very hospitable service from the staff.

Very friendly, honest and helpful staff - and excellent service in the 22nd floor lounge/restaurant area (good breakfasts). Well placed for walking to local shopping malls. One tip - use the entrance at HSBC side of the building if you need a taxi (reception entrance can be long wait)

The Discovery Suites is a great place. The suites make you feel like you are at home (kitchenette and living room is of excellent quality. If you are into fitness, they have a great fitness facility. They are making room for new aerobics machines by adding on to the fitness area.I liked the machines, they were of a European brand. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Phillippines. The 3 bedroom suite was very nicely decorated - spacious and good value for money.

Excellent suites. Good location. Only downside is the very average/poor quality of the breakfast buffet - something which has been the cause of past negative comments: the hotel must surely do something to improve that aspect. Otherwise a recommended establishment.

All rooms of the class I had booked were filled, so I was given an upgrade at no extra charge. The free breakfasts were excellent and the view of Manilla from the many window-side tables was spectacular. I made extensive use of the free internet service for my laptop. It was easy to access from the simple, yet explicit instructions on table in my room. I particlarly enjoyed the hotel''s proximity to the Asian Development Bank (ADB). It was only a 5 minute walk, so I didn''t have to worry about finding a taxi and wondering how long it would take to get there. I used this hotel on my last two trips to Manilla and I will use it again on the next one. Art Gillies

Discovery Suites is not only a nice place to stay due to the infrastructure and location (Pasig) of the hotel, but also because you can really receive the traditional and best Filipino hospitality there. It is also clear for me, the Filipino hospitality is the best in the world!

Maybe it would please other customers if a chef can cook inside the kitchen. In that way, some other customers would appreciate it.

Editor''s Note (December 16, 2004)
Discovery Suites management would like everyone to know that special services of a chef inside the suites can be provided upon request.

A world-class suite-style hotel. The rooms are designed for long-term use by business travelers. My room was large with a couch and chairs for visitors. The inner atrium is impressive. There are few taxis at the hotel entrance so it may be best to reserve a hotel car with driver (very expensive) for the trip to the airport, if you leave before 8 a.m. or after 8 p.m. The breakfast buffet was good. The views feature the best and worst of modern Metro Manila, which is not particularly attractive but is always vibrant.

The room is a bit crammed with sitting area TV & desk. One can hardly pull through a carry on trolley. Lighter furniture and a bit of rearranging might do the trick.

Recommended for family use and for those who want to save money for restaurant. Silent and relaxing. Less staff result in slower service. Junior Suite is miserable to stay while standard room (one bed room suite) is nice and comfortable. Wonder why the price for the former is set higher than the latter?

I really like the Discovery Suites Hotel and wrote a very complementary note about them when I stayed there last March. You currently have the paragraph on the Internet. However, I did not receive even a small verbal thank you from them for taking the effort to do so.

They may be a good hotel, but their Custromer Relations Department sucks. Art Gillies.

This was my second and probably last visit to what could be a very fine hotel. The staff lost my laundry and then denied losing it; only the persistence of a friend of mine in Manila enabled me to recover it. No apology and no waiver of the laundry charge added insult to injury.

I also had an additional minor problem with the staff. The personnel are friendly, but seem incapable of performing even the simplest out-of-the-ordinary request or of admitting fault. For more on the location, see my November 2000 review of the hotel.

I had a one bedroom suite, very large and well furnished. But I relocated to another place after 2 days, because this suite had practically no daylight. There were windows, but the next skyscraper was just 5 m away and you just a huge wall in front of you. Also, I did not like the breakfast. Suggestion, make sure, you get a suite with a reasonable view (daylight) and prepare your breakfast yourself and you will like the place.
