The hotel looks quite funkie, it is slightly compact but very well appointed. I believe being new it looked fresh and clean what 4 star hotel should reflect. The fridge was noisy and the air condition and so close to the bed was slightly annoying but once I fell asleep it did not matter. The highlight was the bed the best bed I slept in ANY hotels including 5 star. I really like the hotel it is comfortable, compact , lively but one negative is Restaurant is only open till 9.00 pm.

Enjoyed my experience at the Diamant, staff were great, gave us a map & pointed out locations & things to do, uor room didn't have a hair dryer no problems, one was sent up just as we walked in the door! Location great, room was good not the biggest room but weren't there much and it was fine. Would recommend.

I stayed for the weekend. The room is clean and well kept. A bit small though. Its a short walk to the main CBD, about 5 minutes, and a short taxi ride to the fortitude valley, night life district, or train from central station which is very close. A good experience overall, located in a quiet area.

I booked what I thought was a 5 star hotel for $199.00 per night. As my father always said “you get what you pay for “ This was the smallest hotel room I have ever seen. The room they gave me was so small you had to go out into the hallway to change your mind. I put the key in door & broke the window. Inside the room was a queen bed with about 50 cm of space around it & nothing else. No chair, desk , anything ???. I had arranged to meet a business college for a meeting in my room & I asked how I was going to manage this as there was no chairs ? They said we were to sit on the bed ???? I asked them how was this hotel rated at 5 stars??? They said it was self rated. I said so you Lied !!! I was moved into a “ deluxe room” at no extra charge , this was the 2nd smallest hotel room I have ever seen. Still no chair but it had a single stool & a balconet ( a tiny or false balcony) with 2 chairs ( looked like they were from a dolls house) and a table ( 40 cm high 20 cm in diameter) . Zero space to put your luggage . I was tripping over my bag & golf clubs every time I climbed into the bathroom. However on the positive side The be was very comfortable , The staff & service were great. Everyone I met was very nice & polite. ( I felt sorry for them ) Attached was a small restaurant /bar/café that served breakfast & dinner. The meals & service was very good. Great hotel if you’re a midget otherwise give it a miss

I stayed at this hotel last year and got a very good rate and free upgrade. Thought rates much more expensive this year and though the rooms are decorated in a modern way with super-comfortable beds and classy bathrooms they really are very small and have virtually no room for hanging clothes and putting things in draws on surfaces etc. The standard room I was booked in had no desk and as I had to work during my stay, I was forced to upgrade (extra $40.00). Even then the workspace was tiny and shared space with the kettle! The safe is on the floor of the cupboard - very hard to access, and when I arrived it wasn't working, neither was the TV - all they needed was new batteries and this was sorted pretty quickly by the hotel but it showed a slackness I thought. The handle on the shower mix was missing and though I asked for it to be replaced it wasn't. Also had problems with their internet provider. Staff a bit casual too I thought. As I said for the money charged it was disappointing and I think I will be looking for somewhere else to stay next time I visit Brisbane.
