This is a nice place to stay. The staffing seems to be a problem. Too little people - too many jobs to do. The room was quite nice - a little cramped in the cupboard area which doubles as the tea making area as well. The coffee is terrible - coffee bags however the tea bags were of good quality. We will return and hope the facilities have improved after the reconstruction is completed.

Myself and my wife chose to stay at the Diamant for our visit to Canberra. It was in a great location for the floriade which was about a 10 minute walk. Parking was offered when we checked in but on a weekend you can actually park on the street for free. Our room was great, very modern and comfortable. The restaurant in the hotel was great, we had an evening meal there, breakfast was prcing at $22 a head. There is a great cafe/shop around the corner which does great coffee and chilled live music from 10am on a Sunday morning. I would stay here again.

First thing was a complimentary room upgrade - sweet! Went to Canberra to see the Floriade, which was only a 10min walking distance, (because you wont find an easy parking around there), so overall it was great, stayed at the Diamant twice now, no complaints...

We stayed Friday evening to Sunday. Check in was quick, easy and friendly. It took a while to find our room at first...there are many corridors and small sets of steps...but once found, it wasn't a problem after that. In fact, being towards the end of a distant corridor, meant it was very quiet at night. The room was good sized, clean, well maintained and well appointed. The bathroom was big and bright. Perhaps an additional towel or two would have been handy, but that's the only, very minor issue we had. Parking was out on the street. I had no problems finding a spot at any time over the weekend. Location is great, only a 10 minute walk to central Canberra and only a 15 minute walk to Floriade (the main reason for our visit). Food in the restaurant was expensive, but very good. Worth the prices. Overall a great place for a weekend in Canberra. We'll be staying there again.

Upgrading from our previous trip's Deluxe Room to this trips Premier Room was certainly worth the extra money. There was probably twice the space, we had a King size bed rather than a Queen sized one, and the bathroom didn't flood when we had showers. The food in the restaurant was very good and excellent value.
