Some good, some less good.... Great location for the beach, ok for city access. Bus and tram stops right in front of hotel making it easy to pop into town. Booked this hotel via this site with one of the main point being it was listed as a 'deluxe double' when reserving. However upon check-in I asked again and was told it was a two single room and nothing else was available. The not overly friendly lady who handled the check-in made no offer to check with the manager or that we could check again the following day. At least the beds could be pushed together, but it's not the same when you are > 2m tall. In addition we came back to the room at 17h on the first day and the room still hadn't been made up. There are few restaurants in the area of the hotel, mostly junk food in the mall and local bistro places. On the positive side it's a very short walk to the beach, the mall has a supermarket allowing you to purchase anything you need, and the bus and tram stops right in front of the hotel. Most of the staff was very friendly and the room was clean. In addition the hotel provides beach towels for a mere EUR 3 deposit for the duration of your stay. For the right price I would stay here again, but I would check other hotels in the area for bargains as well.

Overall a good experience at this hotel. Room was very clean and modern and the hotel is conveniently located near the Metro. It is a bit out of the way of the center of Barcelona, but was very reasonably priced and would stay here again.

Our overall experience with Diagonal Zero Hotel was good. The hotel was nicely decorated, very modern, clean and great facilities. It is near a tourist bus stop, metro station and shopping centre. There is very little in the immediate environment. There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room and no information on the hotel, the area, transport or Barcelona which you would have been very useful. The staff were very pleasant. My only other quibble would be when we requested items to our room it took us three attempts before they brought them. Otherwise a perfectly nice stay.
