Desert Rose Resort Las Vegas

We were traveling with teenagers and the Desert Rose Resort provided a wonderful mix of being close to the action but not in the mix of everything all the time. The units had wonderful space and the staff was wonderful. If we return again I would stay here again!

The Desert Rose represents the best value in Vegas. Located close enough to walk to the Strip but far enough away not to be bothered by the hectic pace of Vegas. Great free breakfast and wine in the afternoon. The large sized rooms come with kitchens fully stocked with dishes, glasses and pots. If you want glitz stay on the Strip; if you want value stay at the Desert Rose.

Enough appliances in room to call it a condo. Staff was very friendly, funny and professional. I would stay here again.

The main thing about this place was the location! Off the strip and very peaceful, away from all the craziness of Downtown Vegas. It is conveniently located only a few blocks from the strip. So you can get your FIX easily. Great location for jumping on the interstate and venturing out to do other things like Red Rock Canyon or Valley of Fire. This place is extremely clean and staff are very friendly. The walls here are a bit thin and you can hear neighbors above sometimes.. I would stay on the upper floor next time to avoid that problem. They have PLENTY of HOT WATER, be careful it's way too hot and you can easily get burned,. The small breakfast buffet downstairs is nice if you don't feel like cooking or you can just fix up the eggs and make your own breakfast back in your room. The king size bed was so comfortable that we took a photo of the tag so we can get the same brand when we purchase a new one. If I ever go back to Vegas I would stay here in a heartbeat! Definately recomended for those that want off the strip :)

The hotel was great and the staff amazing! Even though the breakfast is nothing impressive, there is plenty of food to get by.. Great location from the airport and about 5 min walk from the Strip. Overall it was a great experience and I definitely recommend it!!

After reading some of the reviews - as you do - we wondered what our experience would be like here. We needn't have worried, check in was speedy, our room was ready & waiting, comfortable & spotlessly clean with everything that you needed including a kettle. The room was cleaned, towels & bed linen changed on a daily basis. Air conditioning was welcome on the very hot days. Its location was ideal just a ten minute walk from the bus stop that serves the strip with a drinking hole situated on the corner so that a welcome drink was always available when returning to or leaving the hotel. Complimentary breakfast was available albeit that the dinig room is small but nothing stops you taking food back to your room if you wish. Coffee is available all day, free internet is available in reception along with concierge service. The pool area is kept clean with a good range of seating and sunbeds. We faired better here than our friends who were in a more expensive strip hotel. Would recommend and would definitely return.

The Desert Rose Resort is an all in one facility. The pool with extended hours, rooms with kitchens and the happy hours were our favourites! Cannot be beat in Las Vegas for value for money.

We were in Las Vegas for one week to attend a conference. We had our car, which made it easy for us to stock the kitchen in our room with plenty of cold drinks, snacks, and quick meals. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool area included a kiddy pool, hot tub, and a BBQ. It was nice to have access to a washing machine when traveling with kids. The free breakfast in the morning included eggs, sausage, toast, cereal, yoghurt, and fresh fruit. As the week wore on, I really appreciated the quiet in the hotel, as compared to the noise in the casinos and on the Strip.

This was a great place to stay at a great price. We had a 2-bedroom unit with additional fold out couch, so worked perfectly for my husband and myself and our two grown boys. It is only a 5 minute walk to the monorail station at the MGM Grand, too, which makes it very convenient. I would definitely stay there again.

We enoyed our stay here. The location was excellent, just off the strip. The hotel staff said it would be quite safe to walk at night to the strip but we were told by others that it would be unadvisable after dark. The rooms were very spacious and having the full kitchen was great. The pool was most enjoyable, the breakfasts and late afternoon nibbles and drinks a lovely idea. Laundry service was a plus. Overall a great place to stay.

Unit was very nice and very clean. Breakfast was excellent with variety of choice. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Within walking distance to the strip - about 15 minutes but not pleasant during hottest part of the day. No airport shuttle.

Because this hotel was associated with Shell Vacations timeshare, they kind of pushed you into attending an information session on buying into it. The continental breakfast was good and very handy as then we didn't have to find someplace for breakfast. It was difficult to find a grocery store if you wanted to actually cook a meal for yourself as we didn't have a car. The pool was nice.
