Situated at the Ormes Golf Course, the Des Ormes Hotel is half way between the historic towns of Dol, Combourg, Dinan and Saint Malo, while Mont Saint Michel is about 28 kilometers away.

The hotel was lovely and the staff were very helpful. The 'site' was good but it was dissappointing that so many activities cost additional money, we paid for the family to come for a day but found the 40Euro only covered the swimming pools and nothing else.

We went to the Des Ormes Hotel for a two night break hoping to relax and chill in the hotel. On the Saturday evening the restaurant would not accommodate us as they had taken a party booking an said they were full. There were only abut ten people in the restaurant at 7.45pm yet we were not accommodated. The alternative we were offered was the restaurant that services the adjoining campsite. On the Sunday we had to dine out also as the hotel restaurant does not open on Sundays. All in all a very disappointing stay in the Des Ormes Hotel. On a positive note the Des Ormes golf course is a lovely course and an excellent golf challenge.

This hotel is not in Dol de Bretagne. It is six kilometres out of town on what is basically a holiday camp. There is no signposting to the hotel. You need to follow the sign for Camping Les Ormes. As residents we were unable to eat at the hotel because we were told we did not have a reservation and the restaurant was fully booked. We were not told this at check in. The only other option for eating within the complex was at at holiday camp type pizza restaurant which served overpriced oven/microwave pizzas with gut rot wine. The hotel itself was perfectly adequate but the location was not at all what we expected and we would strongly advise booking a table in the restaurant on arrival or be prepared to drive into Dol de Bretagne which looked to have a good range of eating options.

I stayed only one night on my way to Mont Saint MIchel. Located in a countryyard at a golf club between Mont Saint Michel and Saint Malo. Friendly staff. Very Excellent food. Good for family leisure. Will stay again.

We needed three things after a long drive, a nice drink, a nice meal & a nice bed. We got all three. The food was excellent and was the service. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
