i would not recommend this hotel! this hotel need to be demolished! the location is okay, but the hotel is not; lobby and corridors are scary and dingy, antiquated elevator, room smell cigarette, the decor is so pathetic and the bathroom and fixtures are dismal failure. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!!!!

The Hotel has an excellent location, large, quiet rooms. Unfortunately very few of the rooms have a bath, the rest have a shower cubicle. Breakfast is quite good. The only aspect that I don't like about the hotel is the long, badly lighted and dull entrance hall with the reception desk to the side hidden between big columns.

Hotel is easy to find from Brussels Nord station--direct from the airport. It is near the Metro and is 15 mins.walk to the Gran Plas. The room was spacious and very quiet at night--we stayes 6 nights and it was easy to visit all the other cities by train.Breakfast was very good too.The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel is a little tired looking but it has a timeless grandour too which compensates.

I really liked the location and the overall atmosphere of this place. Free wifi is a plus. The staff was extremely nice and the included breakfast was better than expected.

Feels, looks and is old. Breakfast unacceptably poor. The feeling is that everyone in the hotel is awaiting the next renovation. Reasonably clean though and 60m only from the metro station.

Services were a little bit disturbed by renovation activities, but the management and the staff tried to decrease it as much as possible.

Rather shabby public areas, especially the corridors outside rooms, but clean and pleasant in the room. Safe area close to Rogier underground, which is convenient for all destinations including Gare du Nord if you are thinking of a trip to Antwerp.

A 'character' hotel rather than an impressive business hotel. Good location. Very impressive breakfast room.

At the moment (sept 2006) under reconstruction, hopefully for the best. The room is OK, the breakfast quite poor. Excellent location. A big hotel with busloads of tourist-groups.

Only french spoken tv-senders, no dutch spoken. The shower-head could not be fixed. Breakfast nearly perfect. Very friendly employees.
