It was a pleasant stay. Someone was hammering on the walls one morning at 9am, but besides that it was good.

The hotel is very old and definitely needs some renovation. My room was small. The shower was old and water filled the bathroom and the room at each shower. Breakfast is very poor. Not even some cheese or ham.

The hotel was actually a pleasant surprise for me as I expected it to be less charming and a little more dingy. Haha. But it's very clean, quite charming and quaint. Hotel staff all spoke English and are accomodating. Supermarket, pastry shops, cafes, restaurants are all within walking distance. However, it can be quite a walk from the Metro - say 10mins? But the area is okay even for 2 girls at 12midnight. Great plus, they let you leave your luggage with them for as long as you want on the day of your check out. Overall, 7.5-8!

Staff are great. The basic room we got was next to the housekeepers room which meant we were woken up early every morning due to noise

The hotel staff were lovely and most spoke excellent English. They were really helpful when explaining the metro system and the buses. 2 metros were required to travel into the centre of Paris and the hotel is situated between 2 stops. The hotel was difficult to find though which was the only problem when we went there. I recommend taking a taxi from the Moulin Rouge which was nearby. The room was basic but liveable especially for only a few nights. I stayed for 3 and I have to admit that the rooms were noisy. We could hear EVERYTHING from neighbouring rooms but luckily I am a heavy sleeper. Although clean, the shower was a bit dodgy as not attached to the room. The main cupboard was also damp - |I didn't realise this until after I had stored some spare pillows in there and they were soaking wet. The room was cleaned daily no matter how late we vacated our room which was good.
