Derag Livinghotel Koenigin Luise Berlin Hotel Guest Reviews
We looked at quite a few hotels before deciding on this one. As usual a decent hotel, out of the centre but close to good transport were our requirements. The hotel is probably a 3.5 to 4 stars going by UK ratings. i.e. more like Premier Inn than say Marriott. The staff were friendly and efficient, our room was clean, warm and well maintained. Complimentary minibar was two bottles of water (one fizzy) and two bottles of Becks. I've seen some reviews mention free transport passes being given.....perhaps they are when staying in a more expensive room but for us this was not the case and that's fair enough. The M4 tram stop was 5 - 7 minutes away and took maybe 15 - 20 minutes into Alexanderplatz. The hotel had nice gardens / grounds but it was the wrong time of year for us to use them. There's a Netto at the end of the street. The crockery and utensils had to be requested even though we had a small kitchenette. For the price we paid, it was a good deal.

The hotel is a little out of the core, 15-20 mins tram ride. The tram does run very regularly though. The rooms are very basic, don't expect anything fancy at all but you get what you pay for. Dislikes: wifi in the room was very poor. Breakfast was not edible but the coffee was good. There aren't any cafe around the hotel, they do have a restaurant on site but we did not try it. There is a really good and cheap restaurant one tram stop away that I would recommend.

Stayed for 5 days here and were quite happy with the price / performance ratio. If you don't mind a 10 minutes train travel (M4) to Alexanderplatz, the hotel's price is worth the effort. Together with the well priced room rate, we got free usage of all of the Berlin public transportation, an ideal combination and well appreciated. The room was in standard for a 4 star hotel, no free wifi available and the parking in the street not recommended.

Very nice and calm hotel. By the public transport you are in 5 min in the center, so no problem to stay in this hotel. All public transport, tram, bus , metro and train arround and in Berlin was prepaid by the hotel, perfect.

Very clean and spotless! My children loved it. There's a kitchenette with dishwasher... good choice for family. Breakfast is great. Though the location is a bit far from the city centre, it's still a good choice for those who travel by car. I will definitely come back whenever I visit Berlin.
