Sønderborg Climate
The climate in Sønderborg is fairly mild, with average temperatures only climbing above 20°C in the summer months of July and August. Temperatures drop to 3°C in January, so you can expect there to be some snow during the winter months. Even in summer, there are quite a lot of rainy days, so don't expect to get a tan while visiting the town.
Getting There & Around
Sønderborg Airport has daily flights from Copenhagen, with flights taking just 35 minutes. There are also extensive train connections from main Danish cities.
There is a good public transport system in Denmark. From the main city bus station,there are regular buses to all the nearby towns and suburbs of the area. It is easy to travel around by bicycle, with most of the roads having their own separate bike lanes.
