Delta Pyramids Hotel Cairo
3.6 out of 5

This motel is exactly as previously reviewed but remember you pay for what you get. Yes its noisy with the busy honking traffic below but to watch and photograph the sun hitting the pyramids in the morning was worth it for me. Its a good stop over for one night plus its location is well away from the city. Breakfast is simple but they do cook a mean omelet on request.

Not great but not terrible. Great view of the pyramids from the room and the rooftop bar/restaurant. Traffic noise at night can be bothersome if you are a light sleeper. Less than 30 minute walk to the pyramids if you are an adventurous traveler. A long way to downtown, Egyptian Museum, Old Cairo, etc. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would not recommend as a first choice but if budget is an issue this place is okay.

When you look at other reviews of this hotel is sounds horrible, however i must say I found it very nice. My room had a full view of the pyramids, at night you can look out and watch the pyramid lighting change color. the shower was warm, not hot, but certainly not cold either. the pool and gym are great, the breakfast buffet was really good. The internet service was up every day. You can walk to Pyramids from hotel. the staff at the hotel are willing to do anything for you. its not a 4 star hotel by a long shot, its an old hotel so its got wear and tear on it. restuarent on the roof has an amazing view of the pyramids, the food was simple but good. If you want to be treated to a luxory hotel then there are plenty for $150 a night. my cost per night was $27 which is well worth it. If your expectations are realistic then its worth staying here. taxi from airport $30 us or 150 egyptian pounds.

I've no found nothing good in this hotel except, might be, reasonable price - but this is the case with most hotels in Cairo. View on the pyramids from this hotel is pretty descent - but pyramids by themselves are not writhing walking distance and one has to take a cab anyway - so it makes more sense to live somewhere closer to centre. Final very important thing: drivers in Cairo got used to use signal every 20 seconds - and hotel's windows don't prevent one from hearing all this noice 24/7 - I used to listen player on the maximum volume - if you don't wanna do the same - choose better location:)

The big PLUS is the LOCATION and my room had a gorgeous view to the Piramyds, but for the rest, well..., I would not really recommend this hotel. It was OK for the price, but if u are looking for a NICE hotel, maybe u should stay elsewhere (and pay more, of course)

I was quite hesitant when reading some of the reviews when booking this holiday but this hotels price suited my budget. I was pleasantly suprised when we first arrived in the early hours and me and my 3 children were welcomed warmly and curtiously. Our rooms were spacious and clean with a view of the pyramids outside my bedroom window. The hotel had all facilities needed. Breakfast was varied and there was plenty of choice. All members of staff were helpful, cheerful and keen to assist and guide whenever possible especially W... and M.... I would definately recommend this hotel to my friends and family and if I ever visited Cairo again I would certainly stay here. It is in the heart of the city and everything is easily accessible. The kids loved the pool too which was made available for our sole use as we requested. I think the negatives reviews are from people who are too fussy as I would rate this hotel 4 star without any doubt!

Even though the Delta Pyramids was a 4 star hotel it is very old. The carpets were a bit dusty and even moldy. The beds had old mattresses but were not uncomfortable. The bathrooms were clean. The dining area on the top floor where you have a great view of the pyramids was the best. Rooms in the front of the building had street noise come up. The service was great as all the staff were helpful in getting us to our tours and helping us get around town.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I'd be staying there again on my next trip to Cairo and that is just because of the staff.....very helpful people.

Location excellent, view beyond belief. Lovely terrace for relaxing and taking in the incredible view. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were fine. No problems whatsoever. Breakfast would benefit from a bit more attention - cleaning tables after people vacate them, keeping the food stocked a bit more attentively. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

The hotel is very noisy. We booked buffet (HB) but this wasn't available every day, Then we had burned chicken and when it was there it was always the same food and cold! The rooms we had were very bad! The shouwer had could water. Only 1 towel for 2 persons to take a shouwer. We will NEVER stay in this hotel (for us not more then 2*) again!
