Deira Town Hotel Dubai Guest Reviews
This hotel was close enough to the airport but other than that it was km's away from anything else worthwhile. Our fisrt impressions were not that great when we were dropped off at the front entrance to the hotel where there were a few nightclubs ( not a good scene when you are travelling with kids) however there is a back entrance. We were greeted by a porter which helps when you had as much luggage as what we did. Reception appeared that they were not expecting us or that they did not have the rooms ready we had to hang around for atleast 15 mins or more before we could enter our rooms. Once settled we headed down to the restaurant which was a dark, dingy & smokey place- we didn't dine there. Problems with both the rooms- the sliding door in one didn't look. We had problems with the showers & hotwater in both rooms which was fixed promptly. Room was relatively clean however we did have rubbish left in the bedside draws. Hotel would be recommened for a short stay only.

We used the Deira Town Hotel as a day room during a long transfer at the airport and I cannot praise the hotel and the staff high enough - it was exactly what we needed. The hotel is situated along a very busy main road so you may have a room facing constant car horn beeps, but this wasn't a problem for us and was barely noticeable with the window closed and the aircon on. Room and ensuite are easily to typical Holiday Inn standards, if not better.
