Deer Park Hotel & Golf Courses Howth Guest Reviews

4 out of 5

My first night and day made me want to move in permanently. The hotel bathrooms are a little dated, but clean. Carpets are due for replacement, but the bedding was nice. The pool, steam room, and sauna were wonderful. The grounds were lovely. It would be easy to enjoy simply staying on the hotel grounds. Unfortunately, I seemed to always be hungry with in 5 minutes of the kitchens set closing time, and was not only unable to order food so close to closing , but the shuttle service stops at the same time. The delivery services would not take my credit card because it was from another country. The 2nd night of my stay there was a party that had a DJ/Band, very loud. At 12:40 I asked to be moved, I was assured the band would stop at 1am. It seemed not worth moving for 20 minutes reaming. However, at 1:24am there was less noise, but still enough to interrupt sleeping. The porter did move me, by the time this was completed(with no assistance offered) it was 2am. I was pretty upset because I had planned to spend the next day hiking . The porters and the booking company were unhelpful. Luckily the manager and I came to a suitable agreement. I am was happy with the day staff, the maintenance man was lovely. I would go back it is a beautiful place for a great price. In the future I might ask about any events during my stay, before being assigned to a room.

What a beautiful setting, stunning & fabulous views. Matched only by the staff for whom nothing was too much bother. 20mins walk from the DART, so easy to get into Dublin too.

Beautiful location overlooking the bay. Rooms spacious, well designed but we were not happy with the heating on the first night of our stay. Much improved on the second night. Excellent breakfast. Close to Dart railway therefore easy access to Dublin. A very good place to stay

TV reception in rooms is very poor. This needs upgrading to bring it in line with other Hotels.

I have stayed in this hotel many times and have always enjoyed my stay. The facilities and food are first class. The location is excellent and the closeness to facilities in the nearby village of Howth is an added advantage. The scenery is spectacular.
