great location! some troubles with finding the hotel and the paking spot, but seems like ti is always the case in St Malo.

Overview: Grand on the outside, badly in need of refurbishment on the inside. There is a lift but it’s so small it barely holds 2 people. Room: Very small and dark, ancient fixtures and fittings. Net curtain didn’t cover the top of the window and room overlooked on all sides (backed onto a tiny courtyard) so anyone could see straight in. Bathroom: Modern & well equipped although shower cubicle very small (no bath) Food: Only had breakfast, baked goods very poor quality considering this is France, soggy bread, tasteless croissants. Service: They tried to charge us for a castle view room and then tried to say the deposit we paid didn’t count towards the final bill, even when we showed them the receipt. Location: fantastic, the one saving grace. Great for shopping, sightseeing and a reasonably priced car park right around the corner For me, the hotel was badly let down by the decor, the food and particularly the foul-up with the deposit. I wouldn’t stay here again
