Daytona Ocean Sands Hotel Daytona Beach Guest Reviews
Well... roach motel comes to mind.. however, it you want a cheap hotel just to sleep in . one that you will not be in except for sleep this is the one. it worked well or me. i was never at the hotel excet to sleep. the view was awesome. the hotel is 1980 all over agan. bed and sheets and pillows were very clean. thats about it. bathroom was fine also. when i went to check out and leave for the airport at 5am the desk clerk was asleep on the 1970s romp couch. so i left my cards and walked out. would not stay here. pay the extra 15-20 bucks more a night. .. when i walked up i had to manually open the automatic door at the front of the lobby. thats when the smell hit me. I am not exagerating, there were dogs living in the lobby. the floor looked as if it had not been cleaned in at least a year. the carpet in the halls litterally stuck to your feet from the filth. the stench was unbearable. the elevator smelled of vomit, urine and body odor. the room was not much cleaner. we spent most of our time on the balcony due to the smell. if i would have had the money, i would have left that place immediatley but i assumed i would not be reimbursed just from the attitude of the staff that were obviously living there year round. its the worst room i have ever stayed in. thats the honest truth!

This was a very unpleasant place. I asked if there was a coffee pot in the room, and there was. But I didn't ask if there was coffee, and there was not. The soap and shampoo were plastic sample packets. There were bugs. But it was good enough for a single person to spend the night, and do nothing else. The wireless internet service only worked in the lounge, not in the rooms. I can see why there were very few guests there.

I'm so sorry to say I was extremely disappointed. It should be used as a section 8 apartments for welfare recipients. It is filthy. The only thing it does have is a ocean view. The whole place needs to be gutted out and rebuilt from the ground up!!!! New appliances should also be included. I took pictures! I left there walking down the longest road ever to find another one that was just a little better than this one. Please take this off your list, because this is not fair to anyone.

Omg! I stay in Daytona Bch every summer with family and friends and this by far was the worst hotel room I have ever booked. Its starts with the check-in. 1.Doors to lobby do not work, you have to slide them open/close. 2. No AC in hallways. Now once upstairs. 3. Room smelled, bathroom was disgusting, room had bugs, recliner chair was broken, glass door weighed 2 tons to open/close. Lining on the bed was torn, worn, and ancient to say the least. The housekeeper made me feel bad for asking for towels and sheets, then she had none to offer, saying it would be later that night when she did the laundry! OMG! I will never, ever stay at this hotel again. Outside pool was dirty and badly needs to be cleaned. Indoor pool was cleaner but also of need of a good maintaince. This place needs to be shut down by code enforement and deemed unsafe until it is renovated.
