Location
The Days Thunderbird Resort Miami Beach is ideally located right on the beach in Sunny Isles Beach between Miami South Beach and Fort Lauderdale. The Aventura Mall is few minutes away, a Publix Supermarket is right across the street and various restaurants are nearby.

Restaurant
The on-site coffee shop serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, while the pool bar is an ideal place to round off your day with a glass of fine drink. I have never left a negative review for ANY of the hundreds of places that I have stayed during my travels around the world. I had to do so this time. My friend and I decided to stay here after researching hotels, locations, and prices and reviews. I truely thought we did our homework. We stayed 3 days/2 nights. 8/21 -8/24/2012. It was a mini vaca for my birthday. PROS: Location - steps from the ocean, grocery store across the street Maintenance - very fast (had broken lock on room door) CONS: housekeeping was very unfriendly, extra charges for everything, room was very dirty ( lots of hair in bathroom), mold on walls and in bath tub. Dried blood on wall and mattress continnental breakfast consisted of a bagel, toast or cereal, only one... nothing more VERY LOUD!!!!! Bring ear plugs...Not because guests are noisey, but because walls are so thin, and doors slam all hours of the night...I didn't sleep for two days. Thee people in the next room did because I heard snoring both nights. Worst part... the A/C was controlled by hotel. It was uncomfortable in the room most days... I heard everyone complain about this. I feel bad to write such a review, but I wasted money on this trip when I could have just stayed home!

Towels changed each day....sometimes 2 sometimes 3...some large...some medium...they have large towels good for beach, but we only got them for one day. Had to repeatedly ask for towels. Maid staff very unfriendly. Coffee maker did not work. No mention of resort tax on your website....found out on check out. Couple of bored parking attendants. Probably would not go back.

I was in vacation with my best friend and both of us was glad with everything in the hotel, the service is good and the location couldn't be beter, It was my second time traveling to Florida but if I have the opportunity of going there again I will definitely staying at this hotel.

All I can say is I would definitely stay there again when I visit Miami. Great location, right on the beach, large room, clean, and good service. Love it!

This property was on the beach and it was very accessible. The room was satisfactory but the location was far from the Miami Port where I was scheduled to be that next morning. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who loves the beach and is on a budget. The staff was ok. I didn't need any assistance after checking in. Check in was fast.
