We have stayed in many hotels and this one by far was our worst service experience ever. After a several hour drive, we got to the hotel to check in at 1:23. When we attempted to do so, we were told to come back at 2:00 because that was there policy. I explained that we had our grandfather's 85th birthday to attend at 2:00 and I was told that was policy. I asked if they had any rooms available right now. I was told, "Yes, but you can't check in until 2:00... it's our policy." So at 2:00, here came about 10 cars, obviously everyone else had been turned away as well. We returned to the hotel around 11:30 and found that the smoke detector alarm was beeping in our room very loudly about every 15 seconds right above our heads. I called up to the front desk and was told we would have to wait until morning because there was no one there. My husband said that he would fix the alarm if they would just bring us a battery. After about 15 minutes, now close to midnight, the guy banged on the door, handed my husband a battery, and walked away. My husband attempted to fix the alarm, but apparently there was a special tool needed. I called back up to the front desk and was once again told we would have to wait until morning. I became very upset and insisted on a new room. The front desk clerk told me to come to the front desk and hung up on me. So at 12:20, my entire family, kids and all, had to pack up our room and move from our first floor room to the third floor. We never received an appology for any of the inconvenience or anything... they could have cared less. Really bad customer service. I've had better service at a $19.95 Motel 6 (So you can see how bad it really was). I would suggest that employees put their cell phones down and work on doing their jobs.

Rooms are pretty new, comfortable, not fancy but fine. We got a a nice cotton covered comforter after requesting an extra blanket. The walls could be thicker like much new construction, may want earplugs. Staff very nice. Immediate area suburban - shopping centers, nothing special but some good restaurants if you check with your free wi-fi not far away.
