Good location for the way between Tijuana, Mexico, and California USA. Room size is pretty good for a family. Internet service is not good.

Took kids to San Diego. Read good reviews & price was low so I booked 3 nights. Wanted a clean room w/heated pool & a decent free breakfast for the kids. Place was being remodeled when we got there. The rooms had already been remodeled. They were clean enough but the heating/cooling unit didn't work so we had to change rooms. The breakfast was cereal, weak coffee, fake OJ & English muffins. The pool was NOT heated; the spa, very dirty. The third day, there was wet cement (no sign) left to set around the spa. Workers started using power tools at 7am. Some of the staff was nice. A couple of guests were drinking in the parking lot. There was free wifi but it cut out often and you had to reboot every time. Most of the issues could be temporary problems so the place may improve when the work is completed.

The hotel rooms are nice, newly remodeled yet not well kept. Housekeeping is not doing there job! The tub was dirty, we found beer bottle caps in the room. Not a pleasant experience

For the price, I believe one gets the value. The rooms are clean although the bed sheets and the towels need replacement because they are already too old. One of the blankets has cigarette burns that made holes. The towels are already very dirty white in color. There's free wifi but is very slow and does not work most of the time.
