Days Inn Monterey Downtown Guest Reviews
It's an OK hotel/motel close to downtown Monterey. There are quite a few others in the same neighborhood, but this one is one of the closest if you want to walk to downtown restaurant or a bar. There is a newer (more expensive?) part that is a little bit nicer, but the older one across the street is not bad either. Overall, nothing extraordinary, but rather nice and quiet - perfectly adequate for a weekend's stay.

This place is ok if you are staying for one night only. It definitely needs to be upgraded. I would not recommend to woman travelers unless there are many of you or plan to drive everywhere. The front desk staff told me that it is 10 minutes walk to the Fisherman's Wharf, but it is actually 20 + minutes. I felt like it was overpriced overall.

A sign was posted no check in before 3 pm. The room 202 was upstairs with one King and was very small but clean. The bathroom was remodeled with a shower only and granite in the shower and counter. The breakfast was toast, bagels, cereal, coffee, rolls and hot chocolate. We walked to dinner a few blocks away on the restaurant strip. The hotel was centrally located and fairly quiet. Good stay no complaints.

Great value for money. Sam was nice enough to make some adjustments to our reservation after we arrived. The location was central and only 5 minutes walking from the centre of town! A great Thai restaurant and a healthy breakfast bar next door. Overall, if you dont need to be right on the ocean or Cannery Row, it is a good call for a night or two in lovely Monterey.
