There is only one thing I was happy about this hotel is location. Very close to the beach. And the beach was perfect !!! We paid $169 per night and it doesn't worth it at all.

If you are trying to get the luxury Maui experience, this is not your place. This place is convenient on the beach, inexpensive for the area, and should only be considered as a bed and a shower. I was lucky in that I had other family staying down the road at a luxury condo so that I would get to the room mid to late evening to get to bed, wake up early and be gone all day. There really isn't a convenient place to eat either. There is a vast polarization between how economical this hotel is and the quality of the restaurant on the property: it is one of the nicer dining experiences I've read up on for Kihei and the price follows suit (reference $13 Mai Tai's). I definately don't want to say anything bad about the restaurant (I didn't eat there, reference family down the street), I did want to try out the breakfast but I was always gone prior to it opening. I don't want to say I had a bad experience, I went in expecting exactly what I got so I was not dissappointed. I also want to emphasize this wasn't the WORST hotel I've ever stayed at, but it is VERY far from the best. The room and property were relatively clean. It was also the first time I have ever slept on a Temper Pedic style bed: a so-so experience. If I was going in any other situation than having family down the street, I would not stay here. For a few more dollars there are plenty of condos available down the street with full kitchens that you can eat 1 or 2 meals at per day that would soak up the cost of yourself and 1 other person eating out 2-3 times per day. Enjoy Maui! It was my first time on the island and had a great time! :)

The location was perfect right on the beach next to a very nice restraunt. Hotel room was small and cheap, fitting the price. Overall it was an amazing stay, miss you Maui!

Room was very clean. Computer was furnished in the lobby for internet (important to me since I did not bring a computer) Staff let us check in early and were very friendly. Location is good. We paid $110 (including taxes) to stay an extra night. I paid $131.85 booking ahead. No refund for difference.

Although the location is good, the hotel, grounds, rooms and decor are awful! I thought the price would compensate for it all, but I was horribly wrong. We moved out with 4 nights remaining in our stay and went to the awesome Maui Coast up the road. Bottom line: the low rates aren't low enough to justify the property.

We have previously stayed at the Days Inn, Kihei. We knew that the rooms would be small. The beds are comfortable and the location is fantastic. Right on the bus line if not driving. Walking distance to beach, shops, restaurants. The front desk staff was especially nice and the housekeeping helpful. The sidewalks were always stained and dirty though being my only complaint. Although this is really a motel (Inn), its proximity to a superb beach is stellar. The place was clean, well-maintained, and nice (pretty, etc.) For our week-long stay, a bigger closet or more drawers would have been nice. But who cares? It was a place to clean up and sleep, and the bed was very comfortable. Bath facilities worked fine. No leaking, etc. Great value. We'd go back.

Went everywhere on Maui twice! Easy access to Piilani Hwy, food and beautiul Kam Beaches for a long walk any time and snorkelling too! Room was well taken care of; always had my wake up coffee! Share shelves are a great idea!

The first day, room service didn't come by the room. There was the occasional bug and gecko invading. Overall conditions weren't horrible, but weren't spectacular either (sometimes the door wouldn't cooperate in opening or closing).

IF you fly to Maui on an economy ticket, and rent an economy car, this may be the place you are looking for. Rooms are small - so be ready - but clean and comfortable. Perfect if you plan to spend most of the day out and away from the room and just need a nice affordable place to sleep and re-group. No wi-fi in rooms, so that is a downer. Mini-Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, shower all above average to be sure. Luxury accommodations it is not - but we were not there for the room, but for the snorkeling. We'd stay there again.

drive to mountain and come back and relax at the sunset beach. except sound from next room(if both sides have little considerations, it will be no problem) kind of long stay at one place, but no complaint at all. Very comfortable and cozy.

Great place to stay if on a budget. Right on a great beach for snorkeling or relaxing. Room provided all we needed, we weren't in it except to sleep and change, off exploring the beautiful island of Maui. Would stay again.

Pros Very Very close to the beach - kihei has better beaches! Good central location - not to far from food places in kihei The bed was a tempurpedic bed. Had great sleep GREAT LOCATION Cons -You get wat you pay for I guess -Rooms are crammed-Saw a spider crawl out onto the bed the first night and ants around the sink - FEEL THE NATURE BABY! -Floors are sticky and dirty MOST of the time -Room service pretty much only takes out the trash and make your bed (They only change your sheets every three days - i guess its ok to be green) - Parking spaces are small and crammed when the restaurant on the property opens for dinner/ on the other side of the restaurant there is parking but its a public parking lot so its probably more sketchy Overall: Great if your on a budget and you dont care so much for the amenities - I think this place would be GREAT! if your looking to be pampered - you probably wouldn't be looking at this review anyways - its a days inn, go figure Places I would check out for food: KIHEI CAFE - fell in love with their moco loco SANSEI - Sushi was GREAT... if you dont live in japan or california and already had great sushi (Go Sunday or Monday 5-6 is happy hour and plates are half off... BUT GET THERE BEFORE 4pm - theres a HUGE line)LOCAL BOYS - Shaved Ice was awesome CAFE OLEI - Food was to DIE FOR and if you dont want to wait for the Sansei, they also have sushi Coconuts Fish Cafe - LOVE their fish taco!! Cuatro - was surprisingly good USE [@] for foodies and lonely planet or Maui Revealed for more insight!

This hotel was not the nicest there is, but I'm sure there are worse ones. I was not there to spend the time in my room so it was perfect. Great maid service that picked up after me very well. From putting the bed back together to making sure all the sand that appeared was picked up the next time I came in. The best part was how close the beach was! The beach is clean and less busy than others. I would recommend staying here, but just remember it's not the Hyatt.

Wasn't quite sure of the hotel at first, but really I was not in the room that much and it was in a great location walking to the beach. Went snorkeling on that beach one morning and that was really neat. Boogie boarding was fun. Also, saw sea turtles in the ocean during a walk not too far from beach. Beautiful weather and views.

It was wonderful walking out of our room and onto the beach. The grounds there are beautiful. The room we stayed in was small and dark with only one small window. We were on a tight budget this trip so we got the cheapest room we could find. We stayed out on the beach most of the time so the small room was bearable. I'm just glad it didn't rain! The staff was extremely accommodating as well! This room would not work out well for more than 2 people. Better upgrade!
