Days Inn City Center Long Beach Guest Reviews
This hotel is located right behind elementary school and during weekdays is a lot of noise in the morning. Also the continental breakfast that the hotel offers is very poor and not to many choices to pick. In my opinion, I wouldn't stay again in this hotel

They must have done a renovation of this hotel, because the older reviews of this hotel were kind of scary - whereas the reality was rather pleasant. Room was clean; sheets were clean; mattress was clean (yes, I checked) and comfortable; blanket on the bed was new; room decorated with dark wood and green carpet; there was a microwave, medium-sized refrigerator, and ironing board in the room. The refrigerator wasn't plugged in when I got there, but that was easy enough to fix. The plug for the bathtub didn't work (I had a roll of tape - problem solved), however, the water was consistently hot. Towels were a little dingy, but also clearly clean. No problems with the WiFi service. I never went for the breakfast so i can't comment on that. The exterior looks a little like a chalet. Parking lot is smallish but I could always find a space, and it was free. (No parking on the street M-F after 8AM.) There are two gates to the parking lot but one of them remains locked, which means there's only one entrance - I appreciated that. The neighborhood is somewhere between a mild ghetto and a barrio - it's the type of neighborhood my dad would tell me not to walk around at night - but it's not terrifying, just be aware and you'll be fine. (And yes, I saw a hooker at this hotel - hilarious.) You'll want access to a car here.

The hotel was what one would expect from a Days Inn. It was decent and adequate. The surrounding area is a little run down. I had only one issue with the room. One of the towels appeared to be dirty or stained. Other than that, the room was fine.
