Days Inn Arlington Washington DC Guest Reviews
For the price, it was pretty great. The staff are really friendly and helpful, the room was always cleaned when we got back in the evening, and there weren't any bugs! The location was in the middle of nowhere, but the shuttle takes you to the metro (once an hour, but not at noon or 1 ... ). There was also some sort of military academy across the street? We heard gunshots all morning. Not a pleasant thing to wake up to. All in all, it's a good deal.

The hotel offered shuttle to the Metro, which is a HUGE benefit in the DC area. Biggest issue was very thin walls between rooms. Seems headboards were butted next to each other and we could hear "everything" going on in the bed in the next room. Staff was freindly, continental was a bit below what we exoected, Hotel was clean, but we got what we paid for. No place to walk to for shopping and very limited restuarants within walking distance.

I decided to stay in this hotel due to its relative short distance to Washington atraction and due to its price (80 dls per day). It has been the worst hotel pick Ive done in my life. In general, ammenities are old, filthy and cleaning is very superfitial (pretty much they will only make your bed). Furthermore, nearest metro station is 1 mile away from the hotel, which adds at least another 20 dls per day of taxi that takes you to and from the metro station. Also, staff is kind of rude. If you, like myself, are looking for a cheap and relatively near to the atractions hotel, do yourself a favor and spend an extra 15/20 dls per day upgrading to another hotel.

Hotel itself was OK. But, I was very unhappy with how the charges were handled.[...]We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and Days Inn offers a considerable discount to customers that stay more than two days. That discount was NOT passed on to me[...]

This was probably a nice hotel back in the 50's. I don't think any work has been done to the hotel in many many many many many many years.
