Days Hotel Metairie / New Orleans Guest Reviews
Our stay was decent. Enjoyed the fact that the restaurant was connected to the hotel. The hotel staff was friendly and the price on was okay for the stay but could have been less because you can tell the place is older. Overall though, it was a good stay.

We lived in the area for some years before moving to north Louisiana, so we knew what to expect from a Hotel of this range. The room rates were $65, and we requested a non-smoking room with a fridge. The room had been updated with new comforter and curtains. Unfortunately the fridge was set too high and we couldn't reset it. Since we wanted to take back some wonderful New Orleans Po Boy sandwiches, we just put a small towel in the door of the fridge to keep it a bit open. We didn't call the clerk because we were due to leave the next morning. The hotel is on the service road directly across from major shopping centers, food, and things to do. It's an easy drive to downtown New Orleans. Our room was clean and tidy. The fridge and TV were dinosaurs but worked okay. I would suggest that you pack your own pillow if you have neck or back problems. The bed had pillows that were way too high for my comfort but I had my own pillow. Also, do not depend on Mapquest to get you there! They had us turned around. We called the hotel and got added directions to get there. It is a bit tricky to get to the service road address. I'm sure we'll consider staying here again. It's near everything we love and close to two of the best places to get New Orleans food

Hotel was fine, a little bit of a weird area in terms of access to the hotel, but once I got my bearings I was able to navigate easily to the areas I wanted to go to. Staff was friendly and having the IHOP attached was a big plus.

Overall eveything was pleasant. The only complaint I do have being an Hotel Manager in the past. The guest rep needed to be more accominadating to the guest. They did not have towels to give to the guest that came to the front desk; "We out of towels and I can't get anymore" was all that was stated. No apology or anything. On our way to the room we notice that someone was in the storage room. And, he assisted us and getting towels to our room. We were not far from the french quarters at all the rate and location was excellent. I will recommend and stay here again.

To our surprise, our third party reservation was first come, first serve. Hence, they no longer had what we reserved (2 queen beds, non smoking), so they gave us the option for a king bed with a sofa bed or 2 queen beds in a nonsmoking area. A smoking room was chosen and besides the foul, smoke smell we had to endure, we dealt with roaches all over the room. To make matters worse, the front desk receptionist was not professional to customers or to other employees.
