A pleasant place, I am now sure of the value of the location as I had friends to guide me in Shanghai. There are places to eat and a supermarket in the vicinity. Taxis and buses are at the door. Overall good value hotel.

A bargain for the online price of USD33 per night--worth twice that. Like virtually all 3-star, and many many 4-star hotels in China, non-Chinese languages are a challenge for the staff. If you don't expect fluency in Eng, Fr, Sp, Jp, It, etc, and don't bring up complicated issues, this is a wonderful find. Even rooms on the noisy main street have double windows. Free internet a plus. Breakfast decent. A small property in the vast Shanghai-based Jinjiang hotel and travel empire, the building houses a joint-venture tourism school on its ground floor.

The staff never seemed interested in helping me with any inquiry whatsoever. The hotel is at a lousy location for anything, be it business or leisure. The restuarant food was bland at best. To be honest, I''ve had better night sleeps in train stations. If you can at all, avoid this hotel. Pay the extra 10-20 a night for a place where you will be treated as a paying guest.

While the Room was very good the breakfast is only for Chinese and badly need to have an American Breakfast as well. I will stay there again but will know I can not have meals there.

Top quality of service and room. The hotel pretty close to the center of Shanhgai. Da Hua Guest House is to recommend at any time to friends and work mates.
