Getting There

Since the Prague Castle complex is large, there are several ways to get there. Prague has an extensive public transportation system that includes the tram and metro systems. There are tram stops in every direction from the castle at Královský letohrádek, Pražský hrad, and Pohořelec; and all are just a short walk from an entrance. The Malostranská and Hradčanská metro stations are also close to the main gates. Prague’s Vaclav Havel Airport is 11 kilometres from Prague Castle. City buses, taxis, and other public transportation are easy to commandeer to take you to the city centre and beyond.
