Paralimni Climate
The area in and around the city does not receive much rain. A total of 350 mm may fall in the course of a year. Temperatures can get very high in summer, approaching 35°C, and never go below freezing in winter.
Getting There & Around
Paralimni does not have its own airport. The closest airports are Larnaca Airport and Paphos Airport, which are 49 and 173 kilometres away, respectively. The town can be reached by car after driving to the eastern terminus of the A3 highway and then turning north.
There are no train services of any sort on the island. Within the urban area, buses generally run their routes every half hour but cut service in the early evening and often do not operate at all on Sundays.
