Ayia Napa Hotels

Ayia Napa (also known as Agia Napa) began as a quiet settlement outside the monastery that gave this Cyprian town its name. Then it got older, got hot, got a fake ID and transformed itself into a party and clubbing hub. ... Read more »
Your head may hurt after a few nights on Ayia Napa, but spending time on its beautiful coastline will fix that. The beaches here are second-to-none, and since most are near the resorts that host all the partying, it doesn’t take too much effort to stagger between the two.
Ayia Napa isn’t completely devoid of culture, but it’s the entertainment options that make it. As well as clubs like Alfabetand Club Insomnia, there’s diving, bungee jumping and watersports. You’ll need all the energy you can muster in Ayia Napa, which is why it’s so appealing.

AYIA NAPA EVENTS
February’s Green Monday honours the Greek god Dionysus. The lavish picnics with seafood and local produce then give way to 50 days of fasting before Easter.
Easter is a big one in Ayia Napa. Festivities last from Good Friday to Easter Sunday, with bonfires, feasts and great wine.
June delivers the Festival of the Flood, which showcases traditional folk dancing and music.
The most popular festival is the eponymous Agia Napa Festival. Also in June, it attracts people from all around the world for a giant party!
WHEN TO GO
- Not surprisingly, the hottest months are also the busiest. Summer temperatures peak at around 32ºC (90ºF) in July and August and there is no rain to speak of.
- There is some rain during autumn, but generally it is lovely and warm during the days and nice and cool at night.
- Daytime temperatures drop to around 14ºC (57ºF) in December, but at night it can get cold enough for a coat, so pack accordingly.
GETTING AROUND
- Walking will get you almost everywhere you’ll need to go!
- There are plenty of bikes and motorbikes for hire, and lots of dedicated bike lanes.
- If you want to explore further out than the centre, consider hiring a car for a day. It’s not too expensive and the traffic is manageable. But the drink-driving laws are very strict, so don’t be tempted to even have a glass before driving.
