For some reason the decking area of this hotel could be a lovely feature in the evenings if only they put out more outside heaters with a bit more heat in them.Lights also needed outside as you have many older or even wheelchair bound guests coming out health & safety surely can ensure there is adequate lighting outside for smokers and others who just want to enjoy sitting in the decking area or near to the pool.Had to always get up myself and pay and collect my drink. Most hotels i stay in waiters and waitresses chk on hotel residents saving you from getting up each time yourself! Staff very nice and professional most of them.Food prices high as you expect from a hotel

Was given a room with no heating -- and this in winter. However, an electric fan heater was very quickly produced for me. On a previous stay at this hotel (in summer) the room was so hot that it was almost unbearable. This is because the single rooms adjacent to the lift have hot water pies passing under the floor. Avoid these rooms at all costs!! Otherwise, most rooms are quite good, as is the service.

Room suffered from pretty noisy plumbing. Also floorboards of room above mine were very squeaky, and so you could hear every step the occupier took. Comically old 1980s tv in room. These gripes aside, an acceptable hotel if you just need a place to sleep and shower between going out in Bournemouth and the surrounds.

When arriving first impressions of Hotel were good downstairs facilities were good . Was not impressed with bedroom was not in keeping with rest of Hotel Bathroom very poor taps leaked could'nt operate shower due to water pressures could be said to be very dangerous risk of being scolded not suitable for young children. Nowhere to park when we arrived had to use public parking facilities

Rooms very small and walls thin! you hear everything. My TV remote did not work, an old 14 inch TV is old hat now. At breakfast its a free-for-all! no orginisation at all. Very few parking spaces too so you have to park in the road and get up early to get a ticket. Good location but cheap hotel, it needs a huge makeover.

Stunning Art Decor Public rooms, recently refurbished most sympathetically. The bedrooms are adequate but need the same treatment as the public areas.

A group of 10 of us stayed there - was a very nice hotel. Only downside was if you were not lucky to have a refurbished room - some of the older ones are very dated.

Need to have more staff when hotel is fully booked. We waited 15 mins for a table at breakfast not that tables were full, just not cleared. The bedrooms needed updating as public area very nice but bedrooms a little old fashion and in need of repair.

The public rooms in the Hotel were excellent, but the same can not be said of Room 127. It was very hot and stuf fy - as the floor seemed permanently hot, it must have been directly over the boiler room. Whilst spotlessly clean and with modern fittings in the shower and bedroom, some facilities were woefully inadequate, or non-existant! There was no telephone in the room, the TV was more or less useless, there was no chair in the room, a very small window with obscured glass looking on to a scruffy flat roof,- no curtains! There was one wardrobe wi th no shelves, and hence nowhere to put any clothes at all. The washbasin might have suited a midget, but was quite useless as a washbsin for anyone over the age of six months. I think that this hotel is best avioded by anyone not prepared to put up with the above. As the hotel was, allegedly, full the staff could not change my room, and the promised repairs to the TV did n ot materialse!

General areas of the hotel very good. Bathroom well modernised however the rooms themselves were very tired however. Poor soundproofing. The heating system is antiquated (the hotel is reminescent of an old liner in more than one respect) and seemed to be stuck on in certain parts of the building. Mattress had seen better days. General decor needs a revamp and better use of room space (which generally is not great). However staff are absolutely lovely and the location fantastic. The revamp of the hotel needs to be completed to justify the room rates which are excessive for the standard of the hotel at present. Worth a revisit (if) when complete. One last thing ... c'mon guys how much does it cost to bulk buy some reasonable quality loo roll.

The Facilities were excellent with a very posh bar and dining area. The buffet breakfast was superb and well worth getting up in the mornings for! Being able to use the leisure facilities within the other hotels was a massive bonus.
