Club room in Holiday Inn Citi Center Guangzhou is such a good deal. The girls there were very friendly and very service minded. It felt like home away from home. It's worth every penny. I and my 3 friends had a wonderful time.

The hotel was very good and freindly, alltrough they havent got our reservations, but they kept to the price. And we found an Italian restaurant close to the Hotel, and an Irish Pub.

They arrange the pick up to train station. Driver not only friendly, also helpfull with our luggage though we can not communicate well. But is not so close to the main attraction.

It''s very cheap for what it is. And it''s in a very good location, whether you''re travelling for business or plan to drink yourself into a coma for the weekend - it''s near lots of offices, and lots of bars and restaurants.

Good location but 4-star hotel rooms due for refurbishment.

Hotel has clean and spacious rooms. Facilities and lobby looks old. Food is disappointing. It is a bit far from shopping areas Beijing Lu, Shangjiujiu Lu and Tianhe. But I think its still value for money so I will recommend it to friends.

Friendly hotel staffs are polite and willing to guide you on locations that you want to go. Nice work on the housekeeping.

The temperature regulator was not functioning properly in the room I stayed. It was warm whenever I got back into the room and I could not lower the room temperature quickly down to a comfortable level (adjustment is necessary in winter or summer). I hope this was not the case for other rooms. 2 cups of tea at Mezz level cost approximately RMB50, very expensive by Guangzhou standard.

I always request a non-smoking room and on a couple of occasions have been allocated a smoking room. Staff have always gone to great pains to change the room. They are very accommodating (no pun intended). The smoking rooms do have a very strong stale smoke odour and you can actually smell them as soon as you get out of the lift. If your room is not ready when you arrive you always get a complimentary drink while you wait. I really like this hotel. The staff are very helpful and I feel quite at home, particulary as they now recognise me as a "regular".

Yes the hotel was good & the people were quite helpful for a lot of things as in China the communication barrier is the biggest hurdle so the people from the hotel use to negotiate for us with the taxi, & also use to take down the taxi no. to ensure our safety. Plus they also use to tell us what all places are good for shopping & eating.

For the price offered on asia-hotels.com the Holiday Inn seems like a good value, although certainly not during the manic trade show season. Rooms are clean and large and the bathrooms are quite nice as compared to some of the other Asian hotels I''ve stayed at.

My one complaint was that the internet was ridiculously overpriced - 80 yuen for one hour, and 30 for ten minutes, when most Chinese internet cafes offer an hour online for only a few yuen. Even a 1:1 exchange would have been more reasonable. But overall a nice place to relax, located conveniently towards the heart of the city.

The Executive floor is well worth it, in my opinion. The breakfast there is a good way to start a day peacefully and calmly -- enjoy it, you won''t get much else of it in Guanghzou. The laundry credit is nice. Happy Hour just OK in terms of the food served, but a nice option nevertheless. The person in charge was always friendly and helpful. I felt that the buffet dinner at Dai Pai Dong in the hotel was as inexpensive as they claimed, but not worth even that. I generally prefer Chinese to western cuisine, but this food was terrible

The location of the hotel next to the friendship store and the parks around Baiyun mountain and 15 min. to the airport is superior in Guangzhou! Parts of the Hotel, the recreation center and the restaurants f.e., should get a renovation. The "Superior" rooms are freshly renovated and very good, but not so the "Standard" rooms, which are terrible. I loved it having a cinema within the hotel.

Somewhat musty in dated hotel although central and efficient, could be much better if spruced up. Got wrong directions from the concierge landed up getting lost totally. The broadband net was great.

We had a lovely spacious room and were treated very well by the staff. We would have liked more frequent access to an english language newspaper but that was the only thing we missed. We would return.
