Crowne Plaza Newcastle Hotel

Only stayed the one night but it was very comfortable. We thought that $28 for overnight parking was excessive.

My husband and I stayed in a Queen harbourside room. The views were fantastic with large windows, so lots of light and sunshine to sit and relax while reading a book. Great central location. There is no gym but we had complimentary access to a gym located within walking distance (my husband the facilities were great there). We didn't eat there as we visited trendy Darby Street which was very close-by. Only qualm, the bathroom was smelly. Would recommended and stay here again.

Hotel staff were fine, the room was clean and as expected. Despite ringing up to confirm all our details and room types the day before, there were quite a few issues upon check in. When we arrived we got no assistance with baggage from the valet parking. Our harbourside room view initially only provided a view of palm trees and grass, and was missing the sofa bed.Luckily we requested and got a room change But again despite having two heavily pregnant ladies got no assistance moving our luggage. . Our second room was also missing the sofa bed so we had to get a trundle. Alot of chaos and a couple of hours spent fixing up all the mix ups. The staff were nice but not particularly helpful

This hotel has a great location - perfect to watch the tugs and tankers come and go up the river. Newcastle is a great location for a weekend getaway - great food, beaches and attractions. Enjoy a drink and some cool music in the bar.

Although it was more than we usually pay for a room we enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were friendly and helpful, the location was fantastic and the room was great for entertaining our guests (ie watching the rugby) after enjoying a delicious meal and the view in the restaurant. We look forward to staying again.

very good waterfront position and very quiet , good location as far as getting good meals at a variety of restaurants , only drawback is the length of the passage as nearly all rooms are fronting the water , would stay again , rooms lacked cutlery and plates for eating in the rooms .

The only problem encountered was our breakfast order came incomplete and mildly incorrect. Asked for english muffins with butter and jam - received jam and cutlery, asked for English Breakfast tea - received Earl Grey, asked for Sun Herald - received Telegraph. When paying $30 approx for breakfast, these little mistakes are quite costly.

Food in dining room too expensive for what delivered. Room refrigerator not cleared on previous occupant's food and milk. Ventilation in bathroom not sufficient -- room odours. Service people very willing and attentive.
