Stay was over Thanksgiving holiday, the hotel was very close to all the local attractions.

we arrived @ the front desk everything was pretty smooth until we went to our 1st room, it smelt so dingy,musty. i dont think the room has been in use for a while , we let the front desk kno. they swapped rooms for us no big deal right , well the next room no a/c . now i want to leave but i call front desk they move ud the next day , they gave us breakfast coupons to make ud feel better. i think the hotekl needs a face lidt everything id late 70s early 80s .toilets are terrible we needed a plunger several times it was quite experience never again until theyrenovate. and dont wake up too early cuz nothing is open no coffee nothing untill afte 6am pst ...

Crowne Plaza hotel was nice and clean. The view from our room was pretty nice. They only have two luggage carts controlled by bell hops due to people leaving them in their rooms. The hotel covers a large area so you will want to use the bell hop service. Parking costs $12 a day. Internet costs you another $9.95 a day. There should not be these extra costs. If they are going to charge it make part of the hotel package. Listing them separate is just further confusing and frustrating. Also, I have stayed in cheaper hotels that do not charge for internet service. We didn't use their restuarant, too expensive. There is a fridge in room, which is good for drinks. Coffee maker only makes single servings and they only provided two servings in the room. I like when hotels have regular coffee makers in their rooms so you can make more than a couple cups of coffee with my own coffee that tastes better. Most hotels coffee is weak and doesn't taste very good. I shouldn't have to leave our room to find coffee or pay for expensive room service coffee. Some of us like to drink multiple cups of coffee both morning and night.

Have stayed there many times previously. Foliage is very overgrown, making it difficult to see the pool area. Just over all, the hotel appeared run-down and it was always one of my favorite places to stay when visiting San Diego - I won't go back.
