Crowne Plaza Hotel Manchester City Centre
4 out of 5

Lovely hotel in the middle of everything, clean and with very friendly staff. Only negative was the price of the food, it was very expensive and not worth it in my opinion as it was pretty tasteless and not what was stated on the menu (for example, the chips said handcut and they were oven fries) and for £3+ I would want what they advertised. Pizza was hard with not much topping and burger had no sauce and just a bit of lettuce (total cost for 2x 10" pizza, 1 burger and 2 chips was £48!) They were busy though as it was the Stone Roses concert but still you order things based on the menu. Other than that it was great and would stay there again.

We are a group of 3 adults so we chose the 2x double bed room type. We stayed at Crowne Plaza for 2 periods in 12 days and room size (though the same 2x double bed) is different. The first time space was not enough to place 3 suitcases. We have to walk very carefully as we easily stumbled. A week later we checked in again but this time the room was much spacious. Overall, location is perfect and convenient, just short walk to Arnale Shopping Mall and it's in the center of Manchester. It's also close to Shudehill Metrolink so it's very convenient for us to travel to stadium. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room itself was clean with sufficient lighting, only shower a bit small but water pressure OK. If guests not only can enjoy wifi at lobby but also in guest room it will be perfect. Overall, I will return to Crowne Plaza for my annual visit to Manchester for my soccer team!

I was a really nice hotel, would have been better if we had a breakfast included as well plus £5 for a pint of Peroni is quite expensive

We had a fabulous two nights in this hotel. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating and our club room was really nice with a lovely comfortable big bed and a really nice bathroom. I would go back there any day and it is now our preferred choice of hotel in Manchester.

The room was nicely decorated and the bed very comfortable, but no shower cap for the ladies and operating the television was complicated. The staff was helpful and breakfast was good. Being situated on the doorstep of a big shopping centre made shopping easy and parking is good as there is a big car park near to the hotel.
