We booked a 3 night stay in the Gold Tower, and got a 15 story room in an Ocean View Room. Gold Tower is a bit musty and air conditioning needs work, and tower needs renovating. Giving difficulties with room on 1st night due to air quality we moved to the sister Tower which has been renovated, and we experienced no further air quality issues. Staff were very helpful and like room in other tower on the 21st floor was nice, and had plenty of windows, although not ocean facing. We needed to book an extra night due to the cancellation of our flight home, due to Tropical Cyclone Oswald. Staff again were helpful, and hotel very safe, although we did encounter problems reconfirming flights with the concierge. Had breakfast which was adequate, and revolving restaurant for breakfast on Sunday made a nice change. Room service was average. Overall stay was good, good amenities, with two pools, etc. Would stay again although not in the Gold Tower until this has been renovated. Gold Tower is OK if ocean view is more important to you than room standard, and view from Gold Tower is much better.

Shower mixer tap was not working on arrival, the 'front desk' staff was advised but the shower was not repaired. Poor show.

Really enjoyed my stay at Crowne Plaza Gold Tower,the view of the beach each morning was grand. Except for a dodgy TV remote it was a A+ experience.

like all good hotels they can be expensive. We got this on a ratestogo special which was a great deal. Stayed in the Gold Tower and the room was ideal.
